Guest2014 is all over it this year… I haven’t watched S2 yet, but TGP might be one to watch this year, we’ll see what happens next week. Comedy categories need a shake-up anyway and at least from what I saw of S1, it’s just as good or even better than some of the perennial nominees.

    Plus it’s an actual comedy

The rest of the list is pretty straightforward.

The Good Place over Veep is the big surprise here. Feud continues to be strong than I expected and The Americans seems to be falling out of favor everywhere, but, overall, this is a solid list.

This is a pretty good list, all my favorites are on here besides The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

The Good Place might be their most inspired pick and I do not even like that show.  (Will have to give it another chance sometime.)

Are we here the only people who watched The Leftovers?

Wait, after the Emmys, after the show came and went outside of all the critical acclaim and passionate love from the small but extremely loyal (see: “cult following”) fanbase, just NOW you’re realizing this? 😐

I think it is on Netflix, or at least it was a month ago. I too will have to check it out sometime.

I don’t think there’s any doubt, as much as I may despise Netflix for taking nominations away from broadcast network shows, it has had a positive impact on TGP getting seen by more eyeballs in front of the TV. Still at 100% for Rotten Tomatoes in season 2.

I might put The Good Place or at least Bell in my Globe predictions. I’m already predicting Danson. It’s been increasing momentum and buzz like crazy. In my opinion, season 2 starts great and immediately looses quality after a few episodes. I could even see it breaking though at the Emmys. To be completely honest though, Bell, while perfectly fine, doesn’t really do anything special.
