The network has given Poehler the go-ahead to executive produce a pilot for a half-hour family comedy called “Dumb Prince,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The titular prince is, apparently, a reluctant leader who attempts to run his dysfunctional family’s business — whatever that is — his way, leaving mayhem in his wake.
Charlie Grandy, a “Mindy Project” and “Office” alum, wrote the script and is to produce the pilot alongside Poehler, whom he previously worked with on Weekend Update for “Saturday Night Live.”
Wonderful! Poehler is becoming a powerful producer with Difficult People, Broad City, and with Parks and Rec.
