Netflix Is ‘Positive’ That ‘Arrested Development’ Is Returning For Season 5!!!
Now, the story of a show that lost everything and the one streaming service that had no choice but to keep it together, again.
Netflix is reportedly “positive” that “Arrested Development” is coming back for Season 5, according to Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. Though the timing of the show is unclear, Sarandos said, “It’s just a matter of when,” reports USA Today.
The CCO went on to add that getting a schedule that works for everyone may be the biggest challenge and criticism over the amount of time the cast spent on screen together in the latest season was “fair.”
After premiering Season 4 in 2013, Netflix immediately said it was open to more seasons, with show creator Mitch Hurwitz reportedly interested in revisiting the series as well.
So get ready, “AD” fans! The Bluths are coming back!

Now we just have to find a time where “The Millers”, “Jennifer Falls”, “Scandal”, “Veep”, every TV apperance Jeffrey Tambor makes and Cera and Bateman’s movie work are all on break so they can film this!August 6, 2014 at 6:26 pm #326576
Why do this again. There’s no pointAugust 6, 2014 at 7:35 pm #326577
I was never a fan of the show, but I am happy that they are returning.August 6, 2014 at 7:44 pm #326578

I ask myself that very question every time you post anything and yet here you are.August 6, 2014 at 7:54 pm #326579
I’m watching Jessica Walter on “Jennifer Falls,” and it’s SUCH a tease knowing AD S5 is in the works!!! I just noticed that JWalter was nominated for a Best Actress Drama at the Golden Globes but eventually lost to Jane Fonda in “Klute.” Her film, “Play Misty for Me,” will be my film of choice to watch tomorrow evening!August 6, 2014 at 8:26 pm #326580
I thought the entire S4 was brilliant. I’m looking forward to next season.August 6, 2014 at 8:54 pm #326581
Yeah I don’t see Walter having a busy work schedule lasting because Jennifer Falls is only worth it for Walter, and even that couldn’t keep me watching after a while. She still has Archer but Arrested Development must be her top priority. She MUST win an Emmy for that roleAugust 6, 2014 at 9:34 pm #326582
that is fantastic news.August 7, 2014 at 12:17 am #326583
agreed. Jessica Walter must win an emmy for this delicious role, I mean she will bring a whole new competition if nominated.August 7, 2014 at 4:55 am #326584
Guys stop getting your hopes up. None of these actors nor the show will be nominated.
Why can’t they just put this baby to bed already instead of ruining the first glorious 3 seasons.August 7, 2014 at 5:20 am #326585
If you take away the three best episodes season four would pretty much suck imo. However, the ingredients were still and still appealing. So, I wouldn’t mind another season. But the cast has got to fully commit. If it were well recieved I also think it’d stand a shot at some Emmy love. Netflix is more established now, and a big reason season four didn’t get many major nods was due to the mixed reaction. But once again, the cast has got to commit. Also, the writers have to learn to edit themselves.August 7, 2014 at 5:42 am #326586
And they need to stop with this character-specific episode crap. Just write the damn show as it was originally. It’d be a breath of fresh air to see it get noms for comedy series and a couple of acting nods to shake up those comedy categories, but I really think it’s wishful thinking…August 7, 2014 at 6:53 am #326587
The character specific episodes only existed because half of the cast didn’t commit to a full season.
