Forget the Emmy category of Best Comedy Series. Let’s face it. They should really rename that category “Best Comedy Series with Elitist Appeal and High Cool Factor” …. What if they gave an award for the FUNNIEST show on TV — you know, the one that makes you giggle, howl and guffaw the most? I say “South Park” (though it’s not as good as it used to be — hear THAT, Trey Parker?!) … but it’s also OK to pick some trashy, low-brow, frat boy “Workaholics” or “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” …June 17, 2012 at 1:42 pm #246460
Cougar Town, possibly Curb Your Enthusiasm despite its elitist appealJune 17, 2012 at 2:20 pm #246461
Curb your Enthusiasm, my favorite comedy from that season, it may be corny, but it’s so well done that I barely notice.June 17, 2012 at 2:22 pm #246462

What is funniest? Laughing the most? Louie because the stand up scenes. Most quotable is Happy Endings.June 17, 2012 at 3:15 pm #246464
“Traditional” Comedy Series would be either Happy Endings, Raising Hope or Parks and Recreation.
“Non-traditional” would be Louie or Curb.June 17, 2012 at 3:37 pm #246465
I would say Don’t Trust the B- In Apt. 23. That James Van Der beek just makes me laugh out loud and Krysten Ritter is a riot!June 17, 2012 at 3:44 pm #246466
Happy Endings definitelyJune 17, 2012 at 3:51 pm #246467
Veep and Parks & Recreation.June 17, 2012 at 6:08 pm #246468
Happy Endings and Raising Hope for sureJune 17, 2012 at 7:15 pm #246469
Parks And Recreation & Happy Endings.June 17, 2012 at 7:32 pm #246470
30 Rock duh…no other comedy makes me laugh more.
Also…if we’re talking about “low brow”…then 2 Broke Girls makes laugh quite a bit. Even if it is stupid and childish and offensive and racist and they pretty much repeat the same jokes over and over again…it still makes me crack up.
South Park is also consistently funny. And Bob’s Burgers.
Does anyone think I’d like Curb? I’ve never seen a single episode…June 17, 2012 at 7:40 pm #246471
Curb is not for everyone. I had to force myself through the first season before realizing how truly hilarious it is during the second season. And it’s still going strong for a show in its eighth season.June 17, 2012 at 7:51 pm #246472
