I just realized all three acting nominees submitted the same episode for The Americans and it was submitted for Directing too. I mean I know the episode was great and all but I wish at least Rhys could have given a shot for another episode (kinda think he submitted this episode because he directed it).

As I said over and over again I am rooting for The Americans’ leads to pull through but I think the winners will be the same as SAG winners so I am predicting Viola Davis and Kevin Spacey. I think this year will be, make or break it for Viola since she is a frontrunner for Oscar with Fences I assume after she wins she’ll win every year until HTGAWM gets canceled (4th season tops) but with her being in a critically panned movie and not ranking the nominees, I think she is vulnerable this year. Possible spoiler imo more and more seems to be Claire Danes but we shall see. Spacey is more of a lock compared to Davis and him losing again this year would be one of the biggest shocks of this year.

Tough calls, especially in Drama Actor, where I could see practically anyone prevail. My gut says Schreiber and Russell. Could just as easily be Spacey and Davis, especially if tapes don’t make a difference.

Dame Viola has this in the bag. Best overall season performance + best episode performance = Emmy-win. Sorry gals, better try next year.

As of Actor, it’s probably Spacey.

Should win: Davis and literally anyone but Spacey, Drama Actor is seriously stacked.
    Will Win: Davis and Spacey
    Could Win: Wright and Malek
Thanks for Playing: Maslany, Russell, Danes, Henson, Odenkirk, Schreiber, Chandler, Rhys

Both categories are up in the air. Can’t make up my mind, not yet.

Voters are not holding the critical panning of Suicide Squad against her.

Can Rhys, Maslany or Russell win this year in a upset? For me, they’re long shots even when both categories are not locked…

Actor: Spacey vs Malek, it’s make it or break it this year for Spacey, the show was LOVED by the acting branch and his biggest competition is a newbie actor, so if he doesn’t win this year, it won’t ever. I’m with Spacey.

Actress: If Spacey wins, how can Wright loses? I don’t possibly believe that someone who votes for the former doesn’t vote for the latter and the support for HOC is clearly bigger. Davis had the record, history and the ranking system last year, and even if I belive that she will win, Wright is the likely runner-up.

Maslany I doubt it, but the Americans couple could surprise, yes. It is, however, unlikely

Spacey and Malek already went up against each other with a lot of actors voting for a category with them in it. If it is between them then Spacey will win just like he did at SAG. However, watch out for tiny Liev. He also won a SAG award. Sure he wasn’t singled out but he’s got support. Best picture winner, he’s a producer on his show, he has a fantastic episode, and his show randomly gains support more and more! Give and take a Voight. We need to talk about him. I don’t necessarily want him to win but I have an enormous feeling he will be the winner.

I completely agree. People are dismissing Viola Davis partly because they do not like the show. Sorry, but Viola’s submission is a powerhouse of a submission and deserves to win.

They don’t even watch it. So it’s easy for them to dismiss the Queen.

I don’t see how anyone is dismissing Viola Davis. Everyone is pretty much saying that if anyone else wins, it will be an upset.

Robin Wright is first in the predictions center.
