Of the last ten series to win the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series, which one most deserved a corresponding Emmy win?

“Curb” then “Extras” then “3rd Rock”.

I hate to say Glee because its been a train wreck for multiple seasons now and many other shows on this list on the whole are much, much better, but I really would have probably given the first season the win

Absolutely Curb Your Enthusiasm! How it’s managed to win so few of the Emmy Awards that it’s been nominated for is beyond me.

    1. The Office

    2. ‘Curb’

    3. 3rd Rock

    4. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

    5. Desperate Housewives

In hindsight, I probably wish Glee would have won the Emmy even though I didn’t care for it from the beginning. Perhaps its victory would have halted MF dominating for years.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is the greatest comedy series of the 21st century in my opinion. It is hilarious, brilliant and the very definition of a show keeping its quality throughout its run. It is a shame it has only one Emmy, for Directing. IMO it deserves at least one Comedy Series win, and Larry David should have two or three Best Comedy Actor trophies on his shelf (for the fourth, seventh and eighth seasons).

Thank God Glee never won Best Comedy Series at the Emmys, even for the first two seasons, which were great. If it won early on, and slunk into the cesspool of mediocrity it has become, we would forever look upon that win as a seriously WTF moment. I will admit that the first two seasons were superb, but keep in mind it was up against the first two seasons of Modern Family, which was equally superb and even better.

I really did not want to vote against consistent entertainer Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I had to go with The Office, partly because it was so influential to all of the good comedies that have come since.

I’m going to go with “Desperate Housewives,” only b/c it was such a phenomenon its debut season, and “Raymond” didn’t need to win again on its final season.
