God, I loved this show. I loved all six cast members. For me, it would probably come down to Wilson, Wayans, and Coupe. They were killer. For the purpose of the poll, I guess I’ll go with…Wilson. She really launched the show as the cult hit that it is and Penny is the most distinctive character. But this is such a difficult choice. A fantastic ensemble.

I think Pally and Wilson have an advantage because they had the best stuff written for them. When it comes to who consistently made the most of their material or made typical plots better than they ought to be, Wayans is the winner.

This is so damn hard. Dave and Alex were great but definately my least favorite out of the 6. After them though I’m not very sure. I voted for Eliza Coupe as Jane because there are some episode where she made me laugh the hardest I’ve ever laughed but really all of the other 3 had some amazing episodes and were fun throughout. I think after her would be Wilson as Penny, then Wayans and Pally after. I so really miss this show. Also anyone just saw the mysterious tweet from the writers. Its on tvline if you wanna see it and I don’t wanna get my hopes up but how amazing would it be for it to come back.

Brad and Jane were the best couple on the show, so one of them must win this poll. I picked Wayans. I love this show, and Marry Me is just not a suitable replacement.

Coupe, Cuthbert, Wilson, or Wayans may be the hardest decision to ever have to make. I’ll go with Coupe for consistency. Damn this is a tough one.

This is one of my favorite ensembles ever, but Eliza Coupe was the standout for me. Rumor has it that this could be revived on one of the streaming platforms.

That would be a lot more exciting if the countdown didn’t lead to April 1st…

Yeah, Pally and Wayans both leaving their respective shows by choice, pretty soon after joining the casts full-time, was certainly kinda conspicuous. As for the rest, a lot of people work on multiple shows these days.

Consistently cute show that also kinda annoyed me. Wilson and Coupe were the standouts for me. Though I did like the entire ensemble.

    6. Knighton improved a great deal on season 3, even overshadowing some of the more talented cast memebers, but he was bland for most the show and episodes focused on him didn’t used to be as funny as others.

    5. I felt Wilson was really good, but she was also the one that would most easily be a bit annoying depending on the episode and the joke. She had great timing, and I loved Penny, but I felt in the last two seasons that there were times the writers and Wilson took Penny a bit too far over the top. She was the best on season one though, and she had many possible Emmy submissions throughout the show.

    4. Pally would be higher for me if it wasn’t for the fact that it seemed the writers didn’t really know what to do with him on season 3. Even in a show as inconsequential as that, he always had some killer individual moments in that season, but his episodes got a lot weaker. I do love he was the one that always made the most out of the interactions with the rest of the ensemble, especially with Wilson.

    3. Cuthbert’s talents beyond the show might be debatable, but she became one of the funniest characters. The food thing, and her dumbness were very clever touches in giving the character a new direction, and I think Cuthbert was really game all the time and always brought a lot of enthusiasm and energy to Alex. She’s probably the one the most improved thoughout the seasons, starting as the weakest link and becoming one of my favorites.

1 & 2. It’s basically a tie between Coupe and Wayans. My god, they were incredibly funny, and the most consistently hilarious out of all of them. And what a chemistry. I voted for wayans in the poll as I feel he was the cast member with most comedic range, in timing, physical comedy and downright charisma, and my favorite year was season 2, where I believe he shined the brightest (the episode he goes to the dentist always kills me). But Coupe had some of the funniest moments in the show (that watermelon scene in her father’s birthday, my god, that was so great), and I believe she was the best castmember on season 3. They were also the most believably emotionally invested in one another of the characters. Hard to choose between them both, it’s a shame the Emmys ignored the show, since they were absolutely deserving of noms.
