Anybody watch this last night? It had some great moments especially the skit with Ellen and the goodbye song.

Yeah it was cute. I’m suprised at the people that showed up for that song but then again the Emmys were the night before and the VMAs before that so alot of people were in town anyways. I can’t wait for her netflix show I hope she keeps some of the same panel members
Chelsea got a little too Hollywood for my liking, so I stopped watching a few years back, but this was a nice tribute to her.
The reason I got into the show was the panel, so I hope all of these people come back when she coems back. Not all of them are favorites of course, but people like Loni, uncomfortable Claire, Heather, Moshe, Fortune, Julian and others were great. I hope she does good on Netflix so she can try to give some of these people chances with their own shows like she did with Whitney and Ross, two other favorites from the round table.
The finale was good, I liked the Mary/Jen/Sandy combo with the fake intervention, and the Chuy tribute was a nice touch too. The intro for the round table people was also funny. Miley sang that song nicely and the 50 Cent part was cute with him and Chelsea (I skipped the song).
The final song was great though, I couldn’t believe all the people who turned out. She clearly has a lot of friends, even some who she never speaks of and never turn out on the show as her “big” friends like Bullock and Aniston or “best” friends like McCormack. Everywhere you looked you found some “wow she’s/he’s there too?” celebrity. The funniest part of the whole finale had to be Marlee Matlin doing sign language for the song, it was very unexpected and funny.
For her new show, I hope she polishes her stand up and/or monologue abilities, I’m curious to see her Netflix special next month, I’ve never seen her do stand up, but her monologue was always wooden, she couldn’t read the prompter/jokes right, she laughed at her own jokes too much, it was uncomfortable to watch. That’s the part I 100% hated from the show other than the 30 minute runtime.
