Two things I thought about that haven’t been brought up. Cranston, nobody’s mentioned, that while McConaughey had a chance at the Oscar and Emmy double, Cranston won the Tony earlier this year, how often has somebody won the Tony and the Emmy Lead Actor Award in the same year?

Also, a bit of a thought on Larry Kramer, also about theater, “The Normal Heart” was a play originally, on Broadway, on and off for many years, if you’re a writer, (And I am one) and I’m thinking about how much writing was done, he adapted his one well-known play to film, is that as much work as “Fargo” or “Sherlock”, which are granted, also adaptations, but you know, basically, you add locations and shots, and maybe change or two things, but that might be why he fell out of the Emmy race, it wasn’t necessarily original screenplay for television? Anybody else think that?

Has any actor even won both an Emmy and Tony in the same year yet alone the lead category?
