Which nominee line-ups do you prefer? The equally skilled but under the radar contenders were nominated by the critics and those with more buzz and previous nominees were favoured by the Emmy voters.

I have issues with both line-ups (e.g Hargitay, Cryer and Bates for the Emmys, and the 10 nominee Best Series Lists for the CCTAs.

Overall, I much preferred the CCTA nominee line-ups. The nominations show that the voters watch a wide range of shows and appear more fair. However, the line-ups did tend to include a lot of the Emmy underdogs so it might be biased in that sense.

In terms of nominees, I’ll go with the CCTAs have Courteney Cox, Busy Philipps, no Glee, The Voice, Neil Patrick Harris, Joel McHale, Nick Offerman, John Noble, Anna Torv, and Katey Sagal.

The Emmys, on the other hand, have Josh Charles, Peter Dinklage, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. CCTA have better nominees (spare the ten shows for comedy and drama series) but most of the winners were underwhelming.
