Well , that went well huh?
With such horrible reviews, the first show unlikely to survive is set to premiere TUE 8/7c Sep 17 on Fox.September 16, 2013 at 11:59 am #298395

I’m like halfway through the first episode of Dads and I am going to watch Brooklyn Nine Nine instead…September 17, 2013 at 11:36 pm #298401
I was going to watch this show, and then I happened to go to metacritic last week, and saw the show had a score of 16. I know critics and I don’t usually agree, but with a show that has as low of a score as 16, it really must be horrible!!!September 18, 2013 at 6:15 am #298402
This wasn’t as bad as it’s being advertised by critics, but it wasn’t good either. The dads were a bit funny and Ribisi is a great actor and was quite good here, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do a multicamera sitcom since Friends. But it started out as every other soon to be cancelled show starts. Jokes fell flat all over the place, some weren’t even jokes to begin with and I still don’t know what the asian controversy was, I think worst things have happened and have been said on those CBS sitcoms.
I’ll be sad for Vanessa Minillo or Lachey, becuase she was so awesome in her 30 Rock episode and I didn’t even know she was an actress when I watched that episode, and she was “good” here. I always root for these non-celebrities (if they’re good) when they get their big break. But this won’t be it.
It will be cancelled for sure and it really doesn’t belong on this timeslot, this is Raising Hope’s home or it should’ve been the premiere of Enlisted, since they clearly want to cancel Raising Hope by moving it to fridays.September 18, 2013 at 7:44 am #298403
This wasn’t a complete trainwreck. It made me laugh a couple of times. Saying that its absolutely going to be canceled.September 18, 2013 at 8:27 am #298404
I guess I didn’t manage my expectations properly. I knew the show was getting trashed left and right, but I went in thinking it was probably just not that original and not really of the moment but still funny enough. Then I got really excited when I saw Vanessa Lachey (who totally won me over in her 30 Rock appearance) and Brenda Song were in this. I was very disappointed. I did laugh once or twice, but not as much as I laugh at the average Progressive commercial. I usually don’t mind giving a show a few episodes to get funnier, but it was also just so dumb. I will definitely not be watching it again.September 18, 2013 at 9:48 am #298405
Saw a few minutes of it before Brooklyn 99 aired and even then I hated it. Gonna get cancelled by 6 episodesSeptember 19, 2013 at 3:09 am #298406
Brooklyn Nine-Nine got 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and Dads has a 0% so far.
