I just noticed Amy Poehler and Tina Fey aren’t listed as nominees for hosting the Golden Globes. NPH is for the Tonys and so is MacFarland for the Oscars. What gives? Or is this an oversight on the official nominations list at NATAS?
Amy and Tina didn’t produce the Globes, while NPH did. I think MacFarlane wrote and/or produced the Oscars, so he’s credited. If only they had been credited as writers, they might have won an Emmy.
I think this is the right answer.
I thought once the Performer category was abolished, the Special would also include the nominees? After all, Franco and Hathaway were nominees for the Oscars…
These categories get their nominees added later on. They’re not credited yet, but yes, as hosts, they get nominations. Tina Fey got six or seven nods this year.
It also means Seth McFarlane gets another nomination aside from his Voice Over nominated work.
I do believe Neil Patrick Harris gets only one Emmy in case the Tonys win and one nomination instead of one each for Producer and Host.
^^Yes, on one of the Emmy stats lists for this year, it is specifically mentioned next to both Amy’s and Tina’s names that their nominated work includes their respective shows and the Golden Globes. Tina Fey and Louis C.K. really cleaned up with noms this year, and she didn’t even host SNL this season.
