So I’ve been seeing a bunch of bitches in the forums yapping about how good this is or how stupid it is. I haven’t seen it. But I want to know if it deserves nominations. Now I ain’t talking about no below the line shit. I don’t want to here some bullshit like “the only nomination it should get is main title sequence”. Nah, I want to know if its worthy of series, acting, writing and directing and the big shit like that. The show has critical acclaim but there are a bunch of people yapping about it in the forums. Is that group just a small but loud group of trolls?

So, please answer if the show deserves Emmy noms.

Honestly and realistically, Kate Walsh is the show’s only chance at a major nomination. Netflix can try to push and campaign for Katherine Langford but Lead Actress is pretty stacked up.

    Yes. Only Kate Walsh, though.

If they didn’t renew it for season 2, then I’d say it possibly deserves more nominations in TV Film/Miniseries categories.. but it’s chances are slim there too.

Not liking something that is critically acclaimed (which is really stretching it for this show) does not make you a troll.

Yes, for Lead Actress for Katherine Langford and Supporting Actress for Alisha Boe. Honestly I don’t get the Kate Walsh love. She was barely in the series and when she was on, she did what was required of her – certainly not anything award-worthy. But that’s just me.

Yes. It should be nominated for Series, Katherine Langford, Alisha Boe, and directing for “Tape 5 Side A”. It should also get nominations for title design, editing, and casting.

Fuck yeah. I’d nominate it for Best Series. Also Minnette, Langford, Walsh and Boe should be nominated too. Title design is also deserving. But it won’t get them because House of Cards, Spacey, Davis and Wright like just ‘have to’ be nominated, duh.

It absolutely does. It deserves a series nominations as well as writing and directing. Also Langford and Walsh deserve nods.

Nooooo it doesn’t. Technically it’s terrible from every single point of view. Yesterday I watched the episode with the climbing of the mountain: possibly the worst episode I’ve seen in years and I forgive those who created it just because it made me laugh a lot.

13 Reasons Why doesn’t deserve to be recognized anywhere. End of the question.

That was my viewing experience, honestly I don’t think any show this year made me laugh as much as this one.

I voted ‘no’ because wasn’t a middling option. In many ways, I’d rather the show got shutout completely and told it was crap than got any kind of recognition. That said, Minnette is one of my favourite male acting performances this year so I’d be happy if he was nominated (and maybe Kate Walsh). But anyone or anything else: NO.

It does. A brilliant show with brilliant performances. All Minnette, Langford, Walsh and Boe deserves serious Emmy push too! And those were just the one submitted.

No, it fucking doesn’t. A show that disguises itself as a therapeutic, “relatable” and “woke” piece that is in actuality a shallow, one-dimensional and problematic elongated series that treats its initially tragic victim as a vindictive, manipulative, calculating girl who is dead set on revenge. She should not be looked at as a heroic figure but rather a deeply flawed human.
