Okay let’s be honest. What Emmy nominated series that are critically acclaimed have you actually never watched?

For me its everything on AMC (except Mad Men which I’ve seen a few episodes of) and Showtime, which we don’t even get at my house.

I’ve also never watched House M.D.

Err… Mad Men is on AMC…

For me it’s Game of Thrones. it just doesn’t sound like my kind of series but maybe I’ll give it a try in the summer…

You are so right. Sorry, I had edited it twice and forgot to change the HBO to AMC…

The Good Wife is probably the biggest one I’ve never seen an episode of. Serial dramas have spoiled me enough to draw me away from procedurals, even though I’ve always heard good things about TGW.

Like I said earlier….I’ve never seen Curb.

In terms of Drama…The Practice/Boston Legal is one I can think of from the top of my head. I think I plan on getting to do that after I finish The West Wing.

And, of course, there are billion shows from the 80’s and 90’s that I haven’t seen…

Nowadays, I watch episode submissions/tapes of the actors, regardless of whether I watch the series or not.

This post was me a year ago and I jumped in on the series in season 2 and became a fan of it instantly. If you like soapy stories and have an eye for great technicals, this is your kind of show. Though I do recomend you start from the beginning if you want to be fully immerse w/the characters and their histories.

I was never a member of the church of “Lost”. Watched the first season, but tuned out. Then watched most of the fourth season (since of the third season finale that introduced the now infamous “flashforward”) and didn’t even look at it (except for Emmys) until the finale.

I haven’t seen a lot of the older series like Lou GrantPolice Story, Hill Street Blues, and Family.

I have a better track record with shows since the 1990s, though there are a bunch of shortlived series I never saw that I’d definitely like to watch if they ever become available on DVD – Shannon’s Deal, Homefront, I’ll Fly Away, Reasonable Doubts, EZ Streets (never released in its entirety), Relativity, Remember WENN, Boston Public, Gideon’s Crossing, Ed, the Bonnie Hunt trinity of Bonnie, The Building and Life with Bonnie, Eyes, etc. Some of these series can be found on YouTube, but the quality is poor because they tend to be VCR recording transfers. I’d prefer proper DVD releases or at least “reruns” on Hulu.

There are lots of shows that I don’t watch regularly but I watch the episode submissions (usually the procedurals: Law and Order: SVU, The Closer).

As for comedies, I try to watch as many as I can but I can’t seem to get past behind United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie. Oh, and Two and a Half Men.
