It took FX years to finally win a program award last year for “Fargo.”

For the online newcomers in the Emmy game, do you think it will be Amazon or Netflix to win first?

Amazon has “Transparent” as its only real challenger this time.

Netflix has “House of Cards,” “Orange is the New Black,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” with the best chances.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for either this year, but I’ll go with Netflix. Sooner than later.

Good question Chris!  I think Netflix will win first, it could happen with Orange this year, but I do not think Transparent can ever win Comedy series here.  I say this because it’s not like Ally McBeal, whose quirk and comedic undertones were undeniable.  Transparent made me chuckle a couple times, but its not the same.  I have the same sneaking suspicion that it will take a while for it to win in the top category.

It would be awesome if they both win this year. Amazon would beat Netflix by 5/10 minutes (the time between Best Comedy and Best Drama being announced).

Going against the grain, and I’m gonna say Transparent. It has a strong chance to win Lead Actor with Jeffrey Tambor.

While I absolutely loved Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, I don’t see it winning this year. Its chances for nominations aren’t a given either. It’s very niche (more so than 30 Rock) and I’m not sold on Emmy voters embracing that just yet.

And I also don’t see House of Cards’ weak Season 3 to be a winning season either. Kevin Spacey wasn’t great (give him the trophy next year), but I wouldn’t mind seeing a Robin Wright win! Though I see Viola Davis winning before she does.

Besides Tambor’s storyline, I find Transparent to be unbeareable to watch, especially the children’s storylines. The characters on Girls and Transparent have the same level of immaturity and narcisism that make me not want to watch the next season. I really hope this doesn’t win best Comedy Series
