Even if they have no chance at the Emmys for a nomination, which Drama Supporting Actors delivered your favourite performances of the last TV season and why?

    1. Miguel Angel Silvestre, Sense8

I’m partial to Sense8 anyway, but Silvestre delivered one of the best breakthrough performances of the year. If there was any justice in this world, he’d be a shoe-in to win. But yeah, not happening bc, the Emmys.

    2. Joshua Jackson, The Affair

Season 2 of The Affair was mediocre at best, but Jackson’s performance has always been great and thanks to Cole’s POV we saw more layers to his character. A beautiful nuanced performance that deserves recognition.

    3. Martin Wallstrom, Mr. Robot

Outside of Rami Malek, Wallstrom delivered the best performance on the show in my opinion. He’s definitely more worthy than Slater’s wooden, monotonous performance (meh).

    4. Christopher Eccleston, The Leftovers

He’s a seasoned actor who is way overdue. One of my favourite performers on the show along with Regina King.

    5. Aml Ameen, Sense8

As an african kid myself I could relate to this character the most. The character was flawlessly written & Ameen really brought depth to fan-favourite, Capheus.

    6. Jussie Smollett, Empire

Blah blah, “Empire doesn’t deserve anything!” Even though the first half of Season 2 of Empire was a mess, the back half of the season was great and largely thanks to Smollett’s great portrayal of Jamal Lyon (that should’ve earned him a nomination for Season 1)

Shoutout to: Andre Holland (The Knick), Kit Harington (Game of Thrones)

    Who are your 6 faves?

Is Jonathan Tucker really that good on that show? I’ve had a hard on for him for years, and he’s a good enough actor. I watched the pilot of Kingdom, but the idea of committing to a drama where a Jonas brother is the lead and he’s playing a sexually confused MMA fighter- that didn’t sit well with my ego. Even watching the pilot I thought, “this should be gay porn. This has no business being anything other than porn”.

I feel that way about a lot of things.
