Kudos to Riley, who mentioned in another thread that “The Millers” did not air enough episodes to be eligible for Emmys. Yet is has a nomination for single-camera cinematography.

According to Wikipedia, the show only aired five episodes during the eligibility period — two in October and three in November. The rest aired in July, so they are not contenders for hanging episodes.

Is this information at Wikipedia correct? Please confirm.

Yeah that’s odd. I only can remember 2 airing (or it was just cancelled after 2). How many is required?

    For backing up to your statement, here is what is writing on the Criteria for Eligibility part on this years Emmy Rules&Producers document;

14a. An ongoing series or intended series (excluding documentary/nonfiction and
animation) that is cancelled or discontinued and five or less episodes first aired in the current
eligibility year, the series is ineligible.

IMDB reports that some episodes of The Millers aired in June —

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2737290/episodes?season=2&ref_=tt_eps_sn_2

While Wiki says nothing aired between November and July —

Anybody know where we can find a concrete timeline of when the episodes actually aired? How ironic that the episode nominated for cinematography is called “Con-Troversy”!

    I trust TVBTN:
    http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/06/12/cbs-celebrates-fourth-of-july-with-the-millers-the-mccarthys-burnoff/416859/

CBS will air two original episodes of cancelled comedy The Millers followed by two original episodes ofcancelled comedy The McCarthys on Saturday, July 4.
Two episodes of both The Millers and The McCarthys will also air on Saturday, July 11. The final two episodes of The Millers will air on Saturday, July 18.
    The 4th: 0.4 & 0.4 in ratings
    The 11th: 0.3 & 0.3 in ratings

LOL, I could’ve gone straight to the source, cbs.com: http://www.cbs.com/shows/the-millers/
    2.6 and 2.7 aired 07/04/15.
    2.8 and 2.9 aired 07/11/15.
And 2.10 and 2,11 are scheduled to be aired today.

I don’t have any actual evidence for you, but Wiki is right about the number aired (5) with the CON-Troversy episode being the last to air in the eligible time period. I watch The MIllers and I remember the episodes that were aired. Im also glad they are airing the ones filmed that were never shown now.

    – and yes, I know Im in a small minority, but I do actually like the show and was disappointed when it was pulled so soon into the second season. Its also ironoc for me that I think season 2 is better than season one beacuse of Sean Hayes, whom I generally can’t stand but I like hm and Martendale together.
