Interesting – and definitely something we’ve all discussed (and blogged about) here. Wonder if this tweak will work?
The voting site will evenly show entries for a given category from A-to-Z or Z-to-A for each log-in. The order will be random, meaning that when a member logs in to vote in a given category, say comedy actor, the list will be presented A-to-Z, but when they select another category, say drama series, the list could be presented Z-to-A.
I never thought they would do this.
It is long overdue and very thoughtful, and other voting organizations should follow suit. Now, if we could just get a more stringent tape system…
Constance Zimmer’s chances just got a whole lot stronger.
LOL This could provide some hilarious nominations
As long as we still get to see the ballots!
Im really worried that this will screw The Americans chance of getting a nomination. But on the other hand, it could mess with AHS Hotel getting a undeserved nomination
Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.
It will be interesting to see if this affects the nominees. I always thought they should list the shows then each actor submitted from that show in alphabetical order. I think that could help a lot with some of the randomness. Andre Braugher is an Emmy favorite but should he really continually be nominated or does his name just jump out at voters?
