This is probably harder for me to think about, given how much bad TV shows tend to fade away from memory. But I thought Mos Def was very effective in Dexter’s 6th season, which was otherwise a trainwreck of epic proportions. You could probably say the same about Jennifer Carpenter in the show’s last year.

Alison Janney in Mom. If not for her, that show would be totally unwatchable.

Historically definitely John Ritter in Three’s Company! It was like the 2 Broke Girls of its era. But thinking about 2 Broke Girls I would say Beth Behrs! I think she’s great. Viola Davis proves she can act in HTGAWM.

I always thought Jim Beaver was the real standout actor on
“Supernatural” , but even him became tiresome in later seasons of the
show ( I stopped at season 5 so I really dunno whatahell is going on
    there)  .

I don’t watch The Following but I assume Kevin Bacon is good in it.

How do you know it’s a bad show if you haven’t watched it?

Perhaps more accurate to say I’ve watched the pilot episode year ago and I don’t recall reading any positive reviews.

Naya Rivera has managed to be a bright spot on the god awful recent seasons of Glee, even though the show did start out very good

And The Vampire Diaries isnt really bad, i actually found it pretty enjoyable in the beginning, but Nina Dobrev has always been far better than the show itself and better than the show really even requires
