The Guest Performers ballot lists episode descriptions, but not titles

EDIT: Descriptions removed by the message poster as Boomer has supplied the episode names, and I for one have better things to do than to scroll down a lengthy list like the one that was here

Cusack screwed up her submission, she should have gone with the finale.

Wow. Dot-Marie Jones really messed up on her submission. She should have gone with “Props”

And Jean Smart should have went with “Les Horribles” for her submission. She gets alot of screentime in that episode and is fantastic in it!

Considering how strong the reaction to Choke was, I’m surprised Dot-Marie Jones even got nominated with that.  Props would have been MUCH better.

I absolutely agree with this!  I didn’t see “Rematch” when it originally aired, so I’ll have to catch up before I can say for certain Smart messed up, but her performance in “Les Horribles” was phenomenal with so much range, professionally and personally.  The ending of that episode, when Smart accepts an award that she practically bribed herself into was extremely impactful.  She’d be a front-runner with that submission, no doubt.

How is Martha Plimpton’s submission? Does she have a shot? I’m hoping she can be slightly competitive.

^ I have the episode but haven’t seen it yet. Based on buzz alone, I think she has a shot though.

I have just finished watching all of the episodes submitted by the ladies nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, and I have to say, this race is between two people: Loretta Devine and Jean Smart.

Though only appearing in 3 scenes in her episode, Loretta Devine is very strong in her episode. She has an amazing scene where she goes on a tantrum and throws things in her house, and later realizes and finally admits that she has altheizmers. It is a very heart-wrenching episode, and it could carry her to her second consecutive Emmy award.

On the other hand, we have Jean Smart. She has the more screentime than anyone else in her category. However, that could work against her. In some of the scenes she appears, she is just simply in the background. That has been proven to hurt contenders before (Jenna Fischer etc.). However, in the scenes that she does appear in, and speaks, she is incredibly strong. Plus, we all know Smart has a history of pulling off upsets.

Right now, I’m giving this one to Devine. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Smart won.

And what about the other 4 women? No thoughts on them?
