What is must see TV for you this summer among the more, shall we, low brow fare?

I have my DVR set so I don’t miss a moment of Bachelor in Paradise.

Go on, confess. No one knows who you really are behind those cyber handles.

I love Suits. It’s the Cliff’s Notes version of the law, but it’s highly entertaining. And Gina Torres gives great bitch.

I enjoyed watching Odd Mom Out on Bravo! Pretty mindless, but funny nonetheless. I love Abby Elliot.

I Am Cait is great – and since it’s relevant and important, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s “low brow” – but since Caitlyn Jenner is related to the Kardashians – it has to be in this category!

Ballers on HBO is pretty ridiculous, but thoroughly entertaining. True Detective was also SO dumb this season, but I watched all of it.

The Strain – The show is so weird to me, but I can’t stop watching it.

It’s not very guilty anymore with how critically acclaimed it was but Unreal was so much fun. A lot of the guilty pleasure shows I loved have gone down hill like Graceland, Teen Wolf, and Under the Dome. They’ve all gone off the rails sadly

I’m halfway through UnREAL, and I don’t know if I agree with its marketing of “The best guilty pleasure of the summer.” And that’s because I have ZERO guilt over LOVING this series! Kudos to Lifetime on this one. The concept is unique, the dialogue is sharp, and the performances are nearly perfect. The leads, Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer, are both killing it. Watch this show!

UnREAL only gets lumped in with guilty pleasures because A) it’s on Lifetime and B) it’s about a reality dating show. If people were able to look past that, it should pretty much be discussed in comparison to other acclaimed primetime scripted dramas.

I know a lot of people haven’t liked this show, but I love Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Elizabeth Gillies and Elaine Hendrix are so much fun to watch. I hope this show lasts a while.

Like somebody mentioned on the UNREAL thread that I can’t find now that I started watching, there’s nothing “guilty” about it since it’s a pretty good show and for these days of summers it does the trick perfectly. I like it very much despite its flaws. I asume it’s a guilty pleasure because of the show is based on…speaking of which..

My pick would be: Bachelor in Paradise. And this week’s episode of After Paradise was also a good one. It’s stupid, it’s useless, but it’s so much fun.

    So true.

A guilty pleasure TV show for me is something like Celebirty Big Brother and I cannot wait when it’s gonna start! Only a week left!
