March 29, 2017 at 11:29 am #1202049894I thought the first episode was fine. Two time Oscar nominee Samantha Morton was very good and the show was very fun, yet emotionally heavy at the same time. It has potential, but I could see it going off the rails. It’s definitely Hulus best continuing show (not including 11.22.66) I give the pilot a B.

March 30, 2017 at 8:34 pm #1202051107Did anybody else watch this? It’s not Emmy worthy by any means but it sure is fun while still being very serious. Even though the shows are totally dofferent, I would say it is tonally similar to Underground.

Oh it will definitely be a below the line contender. Production design was amazing. Costumes were good. Not sure about makeup. Music was good but I don’t think it has a shot there.

April 5, 2017 at 8:22 am #1202056337I noticed that this is in the prediction center as a comedy and that makes no sense to me. It’s an hour long. And it’s dramatic. It doesn’t even really try to be funny. It’s fun, but not a comedy. It’s essentialy the brothel version of empire. Calling Empire a comedy is just crazy.

It’s probably just a mistake. Definitely not a comedy based off of the pilot.

April 20, 2017 at 7:18 pm #1202072295THis show reminds me a lot of Empire. It is essentially the white brothel version of Empire. And I could see it doing really well below the line. And with all of the talk about Hulus campaign, what about Samantha Morton?
ReplyCopy URLApril 20, 2017 at 7:24 pm #1202072301Morton should be a four time Oscar nominee, she is so good. Would she submit in lead or supporting, because lead is just too full but if she had some really baity material, she could get in supporting.

From the tree episodes I’ve seen she seems lead-ish enough to go lead. It is an ensembely show but Morton is the souls of the show. Supporting is more packed tbh. It has open space but there is a long ass line trying to get into that space.

True, I just looked at my predictions and yeah, I currently have five locked in for both with an extra spot for the potential Handmaid’s Tale to fill the free spots.
