I noticed that half-brothers Liev and Pabolo Schreiber are both Emmy nominees this year, in different categories.   I’m sure it has, but can you recall any other instances where relatives were both nominated in the same year?

Husband and Wives? Fathers and Sons? Mothers & Daughters? Siblings? it doesn’t matter what the relation is, have any relatives ever been nominated on the same year before?

    I can’t imagine this is a first?

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy this year.

William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett for “St. Elsewhere” (with both winning one year).

Kiefer Sutherland and Donald Sutherland (the year Kiefer won for acting and producing “24”).

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward for “Empire Falls.”

Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn for “To Dance with the White Dog.”

Barbara Bain and Martin Landau for “Mission: Impossible.”

Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen in 2006.

    Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett, back when they were married, in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Poehler was up for SNL in 2008, then Parks and Rec the other times, while Will Arnett was nominated for 30 Rock all four years.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick in 2009 for Taking Chance and The Closer, respectively.

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan in 2000 for Spin City and Law & Order: SVU, respectively (he won, and alluded to her nomination in his Emmy speech).

William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett in 1986-1987 for co-starring in St. Elsewhere (they both won in 1986).

Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontaine in 1965 for co-starring in The Magnificent Yankee (they both won).
