Hi All… I’d love your input for my upcoming interview with Sam Heughan. Let me know if you have any really great questions and I’ll use the best ones.

How would you describe Outlander to someone who has never heard of it?!

Kudos to your fabulous acting. How did you embody the emotional turmoil of a rape victim? You brought Diana’s words to life and then some. I shudder when I watch the scenes with Black Jack and I can’t look away

I assume part of your training includes voice (by the way your’s is very nice!) How easy or difficult is it for you to slip into an accent or dialect required for a role? Which has given you the most challenge?

Hi Sam – you e said that you don’t have to be famous, as long as you’re acting and doing work you believe in. Do you regret the loss of agency that comes with being in the spotlight? Of living under a microscope? You are very generous on social media with your fans. Do you anticipate a withdrawal as the lens tightens focus?
    Thank you

Hi again Sam – you get rather a lot of gifts from fans. Some homemade, some bought. Not to “look a gift horse in the mouth” but do you ever get overwhelmed? And do you ever wish “hey, this money could have gone to LLR or Cahonas or YTArts.” (Caitriots have a pretty strict policy of no gift giving, only donations for Cait – do you ever think you want something like that?)

Since working on Outlander, have you delved into your own family history around the time of Culloden?  Any idea how your family was involved in or affected by the rebellion?

What made you get involved with Bloodwise? Was it a personal connection or something else?

Jamie and Claire both age 20+ years in the books. How do you feel about playing a middle-aged Jamie?

There are scenes in the book that were not filmed.  Are there any scenes that you wished you had the opportunity to film? Which scenes?
Alternately, there are scenes created for the TV series.  Which of these has been your favorite?

What tv shows (other than Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, and Fargo), past and current, are you watching?

What are dream roles for 1) television 2) film 3) stage?

Thanks, Rob.  Love your website and always enjoy Gold Derby’s awards season video debates.
