    Who else will be watching?

    http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/04/14/event-series-texas-rising-to-premiere-over-5-nights-starting-monday-may-25-on-history/389131/

HISTORY’s event series TEXAS RISING will premiere over five nights beginning Memorial Day 2015. The series, which was expanded to 10-hours, details the Texas Revolution and the rise of the legendary Texas Rangers. The series will premiere:

    Monday, May 25 at 9PM ET/PT
    Tuesday, May 26 at 9PM ET/PT
    Monday, June 1 at 9PM ET/PT

    Monday, June 8 at 9PM ET/PT

    Monday, June 15 at 9PM ET/PT

The Alamo was not the end of the story, it was only the beginning, and TEXAS RISING details
what followed in the fight for an independent Texas. In 1836, west of
the Mississippi was considered the Wild West and the Texas frontier was
viewed as hell on earth. With colliding cultures all fighting for stakes
to this territory, no one was safe.

But this was a time of bravery, a
time to die for what you believed in and a time to stand tall against
the fierce Mexican General Santa Anna and his forces. General Sam
Houston, the rag tag Rangers and the legendary “Yellow Rose of Texas,”
lead this story of the human will to fight for independence despite
nearly insurmountable odds and to claim a piece of history for
    all eternity.

Two-time Oscar-nominated director Roland Joffé (THE KILLING FIELDS, THE MISSION) directs TEXAS RISING with an all-star cast including: Bill
Paxton, Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olivier
Martinez, Thomas Jane, Christopher McDonald, Jeremy Davies, Chad Michael
Murray, Max Thieriot, Robert Knepper, Rhys Coiro, Crispin Glover, Jeff
Fahey, Rob Morrow, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Trevor Donovan and Kris
    Kristofferson.

I’ll likely watch. It is the History Channel, which I watch often. Plus the director and that cast! Some very hot actors.

Depends on how many horses get shot, how much blood, the brainwashing factor, and so on. But yes, I’ll tune it.

If the majority of the total running time of the episodes/parts of a
limited series airs within the current eligibility year and has one or
more episodes/parts that fall into the subsequent eligibility year, the
“hanging episodes/parts” that are in a contiguous rollout on the same
distribution platform join in eligibility the
already-qualified-as-eligible episodes/parts of the limited series, as
long as the complete limited series is broadcast prior to the return of
    the first round ballots.

The majority airs next eligibilty period, so it is ineligible?  I cannot take this.  That opens up a lot of slots that I do not know what to do with in my predictions.

We don’t know that as a fact. History Channel is consulting with the Academy and will let us know what they decide.

Only one or two episodes would have aired I think.

The first two hours will be released theatrically in five hundred theatres on May 20th.

(I wonder if those two hours will be Emmy-eligible at all then.)

Three episodes have aired so far and overall its just okay. Not nearly as great as I thought it would be.

Cynthia Addai Robinson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are the stand out actors of the show.
They could be contenders for next years’ Emmys in 2016 for sure.

    Say what?? When?

I hope the category for best supporting actor/actress in a miniseries can be updated than.

All the Texas Rising cast members are available to choose as a ballot in the Emmy nomination prediction section except Cynthia Addai Robinson? She’s a contender so her name should be there.

As uneventfullas it was, i don’t see a scenario where Texas Rising is ignored by the Emmys. Roland Joffé is as much a lock for that Directing Emmy as it comes.

I quite enjoyed it. Jeffrey Dean Morgon, Ray Loitta, Cynthia Addai Robinson, Bill Paxton and Olivier Martinez were wonderfull throughout. Jeffrey Dean Morgon in Episode 4Vengeance is Mine” was powerfull and heartbreaking. With how Emmy voters go about their preferences in the Mini-Series category, i can easily see him winning the Emmy. He is definetly the underdog in that race.

It will dominate the Craft categories, the production value was superb. The editing, sound mixing, Casting, Costumes, ect.
