Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) has masterfully maneuvered his way into the Vice Presidency, but his ascension faces threats on all fronts…

Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is inching closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) and will stop at nothing to break the story.

And Frank’s wife Claire (Robin Wright), the newly appointed Second Lady, must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence.

Season two, exclusively on Netflix in all territories on February 14, 2014.

    Let the butchery begin…

This trailer is an operatic riot! But with that said, Kevin Spacey is in top form here so I’ll be back.

Netflix has a unique opportunity to provide subscribers with exclusive bonus features that can be accessed at any time. I didn’t enjoy the first season of HoC as much as most (it wasn’t that close to making my top ten of the year), but for those who loved the series, Netflix has provided the first six episodes with alternate audio commentaries!

I really liked ‘House of Cards’ season 1, and season 2 looks like it might be even better. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are fantastic as Frank and Claire Underwood.

New regular Molly Parker is an underrated award contender; she’s always a scene stealer and so much better at acting than Kate Mara.  Excited for more Gerald McRaney too.  Maybe they’ll have a Deadwood reunion scene.  I didn’t love Season 1 but it was okay, but the show is so watchable and Spacey so good that I’ll be back.

Looking forward to season 2. Season 1 had the usual pilot series nervousness about it, without which could have made it much better; still I enjoyed it. TGFN (thank god for netflix)!

Kevin Spacey will win an Emmy for this show. I still think that Jon Hamm deserved the Emmy (but lost to Jeff Daniels out of all people) but Spacey was equally as great and a close second in my opinion.

If it holds up creatively, might be a frontrunner for the 2015 drama race.

It is going to have to be significantly better than it was its first season.  Game of Thrones and Orange is the New Black have an edge over it at this point in terms of quality.  Remember that Boardwalk Empire never won.  Hopefully, some new shows like The Leftovers are great as well.

Yeah I know, but the material won’t be so good for GoT Season 5, and so fare HoC seems more appreciated than Orange by jurors. I think it will have a very good chance.

I’m not saying I disagree that the quality of season 1 could have been better but I disagree that the quality needs to imrove to secure a spot the Emmy line up.  It could actually be a bit worse and still get in based on the fact it seems to be appreciated through every avenue other than critics who seem to just think it’s OK.

‘Cards’ has too much industry support right now to get dumped this year. Unless critics rip the second season, I’m talking about low 60’s on Metacritic, it’s a safe bet.

I was responding to whether it can win best drama.  Of course it will be nominated.
