Neve Campbell Joins ‘House Of Cards’ As New Regular
As House Of Cards’ Frank and Claire Underwood head into an election, they will face a new lady in Season 4 played by Neve Campbell. The former Party Of Five andScream star has joined the cast of the Netflix White House drama as a new series regular. Everyone is staying mum on the character Campbell will be playing. There had been speculation that Season 4 would introduce a new, younger couple to rival Frank and Claire.
This marks the biggest TV series commitments for Campbell in years. She also is doing an arc on the second season of the NBC comedy Welcome To Sweden.Campbell is repped by Paradigm, Mosaic and attorney Jeff Bernstein.December 16, 2015 at 4:51 am #351929

My favorite trailer for the show yet. After a somewhat displeasing and uneven 3rd season, I’m looking forward to what is shaping up to be a thrilling 4th year of HoC!February 23, 2016 at 2:25 pm #351932
Does anyone think the show can get back in to the writing/directing categories?February 26, 2016 at 2:37 pm #351933
The two new show runners replacing the departing Beau Willimon have been announced.
Frank Pugliese was a new writer and supervising producer on the last season. He wrote the episode that introduced the Russian president where he kisses Claire and a forgettable episode from later in the season. House of Cards was Pugliese’s first full-time job in television, having worked freelance prior alongside being a professor at Columbia University. He won a WGA Award with Tom Fontana for his first television script—one episode of Homicide: Life on the Street.
Melissa James Gibson’s first job in television was on the writing staff of the first two seasons of The Americans (notably writing “Behind the Red Door”), then she left for the third season of House of Cards. She has zero producing experience prior to the unreleased fourth season of House of Cards. But she is from Vancouver, so good for her. While her management skills are unconfirmed, Netflix obviously sees potential in her as a writer and with good reason. There is consensus that the episodes that she wrote of House of Cards were last season’s best episodes and maybe its only good ones. She wrote the across-the-board Emmy submission “Chapter 32” and later did the debate episode.February 26, 2016 at 3:27 pm #351934
Chapter 32 was not a well-written episode it destroyed Claire’s whole identity/personality. It was good only because of the acting.February 26, 2016 at 3:33 pm #351935
This entire show save for about 4 episodes is only good because of the acting! That being said, I can’t wait to binge-watch this when it comes out.March 4, 2016 at 4:53 am #351936
Season 4 has officially dropped. Ellen Burstyn guest stars as Claire’s mother (Emmy!). COMMENCE THE BINGE!March 4, 2016 at 7:14 am #351937
That opening sequence <3
OK premiere. Some cheesy additions. Not much material for her yet, but Tyson plays a very different woman than her classic caring mother type of roles, so that’s nice. And Burstyn gives it ALL.March 4, 2016 at 12:38 pm #351938
Will start the binge Sunday night – can’t wait!March 4, 2016 at 1:41 pm #351939
ELLEN BURSTYN COMING AFTER ANOTHER EMMYMarch 4, 2016 at 2:30 pm #351940
