For some reason, there is nothing in the Emmy rules saying how many episodes someone nominated for a lead or supporting acting Emmy has to submit. If I remember correctly, it used to be one episode for lead and two for supporting (or do I have those switched?); however, I came across a page at GoldDerby that only lists the episodes for last year’s nominees, and it only lists one for each nominee regardless of category.
Which is it? One per nominee, or does it depend on the category? (And if the rule changed recently, when did it change?)
Beginning in 2007, everyone just submits a single episode. Before that, supporting actors submitted two episodes. Guest actors submitted all of their episodes, but were deemed ineligible if they appeared in more than six. Beginning in 2010, supporting actors submitted entire episodes; prior to that, they only submitted their scenes. Guest actors have always just submitted their scenes.
