Too Bad that there aren’t Razzies for TV. I’ve asked Razzie chief John Wilson why they don’t have them and he said that they’re currently busy enough keeping up with movies, but they might branch out someday.  Meantime, if they won’t do it, let’s create our own here for now.

Please list your 5 nominees for Worst TV Drama Series — overlapping the Emmy eligibility period of June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012 — and list which show you think should WIN.

Hmmm… This one is much harder to do than Comedy, because there are frankly much less “bad” dramas than there are bad comedy.

    but my choices:

    1. CSI: Miami— I am so sorry, but David Caruso and company got what they deserved when they were cancelled. It was never more than an embarrassment.

    2. Blue Bloods: I just find this show to be too forumlaic and frankly uninspired.

    3.  NYC 22: Another bland CBS cop drama led by a crop of bland, forgettable characters.

    4. One Tree Hill— I am all for soaps, I love them. But this one is poorly constructed, poorly acted and has probably the worst directing on television.

    5. The Client List— Sorry, but this show is bad in every way.

No fucking way “Luck” was in the bottom shows. It was a great season. “Parenthood” and “Sons Of Anarchy” didn’t have a bad seasons either.

I’d say “Private Practice” for series, and the “House” finale for worst writing and directing.

“Luck” doesn’t belong here. I watched every episode and thought it was great. So sorry it was cancelled.  I’d nominate “The Killing” and “Private Practice” of the shows I’ve seen, and hated. Since I don’t waste much time watching something that sucks, that’s about all I’ve got. But just from what I gather, “Smash” and “Scandal” probably would have been on my list. They both looked pretty awful to me. I steered clear.

1-The Good Wife – the cases of the week are trash and no one wants to do them and it shows. All because of Moonves.
2  The Killing-  Whenever you read about it it was negative in nature.
    3. Smash for Ellis
    4. The Playboy Club
    5-Hell on Wheels?

Glee. I hate Glee. It ruins everything. The Big Bang Theory is also awful. Almost every reality show out there as well.

The only morality in a cruel world is chance.

I forgot one. I tried to watch the first episode of “The River”… and couldn’t stick it out. It’s going on my list.

    a few others:

    Scandal
Private Practice (It wasted it’s talented cast for it’s entire run… Kate Walsh deserved better)
Boss (does Kelsey Grammar really need another series?)

Some of these choices are killing me…No way should this list include Luck, Sons of Anarchy, Parenthood, The Good Wife, The Killing, Shameless (big ouch on that one!) or even Harry’s Law. I feel like some are confusing not making a connection to a series with a bad series. For example, I have tried – massively hard – to get into Mad Men for years. Nothing can make me sleepier faster. I tried to like, I wanted to like it, and it just isn’t my pack of smokes, err cup of tea. Even still, I would never consider it a bad Razzie-worthy series.

I think it’s very interesting that it’s so hard to compile a legit list. This is actually a positive and not a negative. It’s further proof that we are indeed in the golden age of televsion.

Having said that…My list includes Pan Am, The River, The Playboy Club, Ringer (I was rooting for and with SMG just like everyone else was. She’s great, this series, however, was a bomb.). Those were just the ones that I watched this season that I didn’t like.

Hart of Dixie was entered in the Comedy races on the Emmy ballot.

Tom, I do my own TV razzies, which I call “The Silver Garbage Awards”.  Nominations will be announced the day before the Emmy Nominations.

    Anyway…
    1) The Playboy Club**
    2) Army Wives
    3) Ringer
    4) NYC 22
    5) Charlie’s Angels 2.0
