You are a member of the writers branch, and just like in real life, at the time would be limited to voting on just a 1 or 2 Writing and Program categories. The question is, which ones do you choose to vote on, and how would you rank the nominees?

I haven’t seen enough of the nominees to give my hypothetical ballot, but I’m curious as to what yours would look like. 🙂

So you just want us to do writing and series categories? Cuz for that I’d pick Arrested Development for series and writing, even though they didn’t nominate it’s best episode of that season. For Drama, I’m not sure what I’d pick for series, haven’t seen enough. Six feet under is probably the best of all the shows but I don’t remember how each of those seasons stacked up against each other. If I was a voter back then, I’m sure I would have gotten caught up in the Lost craze like everyone else. I’d pick Middle Ground for writing because it’s possibly the best episode of the best written TV show of all time. The scene with Stringer and Avon on the balcony in that episode is enough for me to give it to it even without having seen all the others. I don’t think I’ve seen enough of anything else to really have an opinion for like variety series and such.

You don’t just PICK them though, you rank them all, from your favorite to least favorite. You can also only vote on 2 Program categories and, since in this scenario you were a member of the writers branch, 2 writing categories. EXACTLY as if you were an Emmy voter for real.

[/quote]Its cool, this did take place over a decade ago. I thought with all the diehard TV fans, that maybe someone would come up with a cool hypothetical ballot.
