Indiewire’s new TV section has predictions up in the drama, comedy & TV movie/miniseries categories:

Pretty standard group of suggestions, but thought most of you might want to take a look.

It’s interesting how they don’t see Esposito as one of the frontrunners or Deschannel aswell as a lock, but their predictions are pretty solid, very different from ours here on the forum but it’s cool already seeing articles about this upcoming emmys rising up.

    Thanks for Sharing!

I don’t recall Emmy season starting that early last year. Seems so far away still.
We already know about category placement of Downton Abbey and Cryer. Last year we didn’t know where Moss and Jones would submit until moments before the submission lists were out.

Anyway, the predictions look solid indeed. Except for John Slattery being a lock. He and Hendricks could sooo easily be snubbed…

    I totally agree!

Is it safe to say Moss and Hamm aren’t winning after losing for The Suitcase? I don’t love Mad Men, I do respect it though, do you guys think they are going to have a better submission than that? For some reason, I could see one of them missing out on a nomination.

I really don’t see them missing a nomination, no. I think if Hamm or Moss wins, it will be for the last season when they realize that they never awarded them… but even then, that didn’t work for Carell, and I don’t think it will for Laurie. With Cranston and Danes, it’s pretty much over for both of them IMO.

It’s totally crazy that “Mad Men” won 4 consecutive Best Drama Series Emmys and never won for acting in the meantime. Just like you said that you more respect it than like it. The voters also might respect it more but not always feel entertained. The pacing of the show prevents its stars from getting fireworks while on AMC another show, “Breaking Bad”, gives them to Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul literally on weekly basis. If I could predict I have a feeling that by the end of the show Christina Hendricks might be the only one regular cast member to win, a’la Julianna Margulies for ER and Katherine Heigl for Grey’s.

Though it is still early to say and pending this season, they only way I see Mad Men winning an acting Emmy is for the last season and I am specifically talking about Jon Hamm. If Kyle Chandler can do it, so can he.

Nah, Vincent Kartheiser will win it by the end of the series, mark my words.
