No, the first season averaged 0.4 million and a 0.2 rating. I also do not understand the reduced-order renewal.
They didn’t reduce the order they didn’t give them an extension of two for a proper ten episode season. At this point they really deserve the Girls season three increase of 12 total. It would help with the world building and momentum the series has overall.September 3, 2017 at 10:33 am #1202202635

This episode is going to be great.September 4, 2017 at 8:01 am #1202203311
I thought that this episode was fine. It was just very dramatic. I don’t think I laughed once, and all of the ingredients were there for high comedy with the dinner table scenes at Derek’s birthday party. Issa and Lawrence’s fight was a lot said that they can’t take back. It’s not impossible in the writing for them to come back from that, but still. I’m surprised that they made Lawrence that dumb to bring a new girl to this party where so many of Issa’s friends were there along with Issa. Kinda glad Molly called it quits with Dro. She’s better than all of that “open relationship” nonsense. Hopefully all of the work tensions pay off in the season finale where Molly leaves the boys club that doesn’t appreciate her (I’m thinking she should start her own practice with Lil’ Rel Howery) instead of simply going to a black firm just because, and Issa and Frieda formally lodge a complaint to the school board about the racist vice principal. Wish there were more episodes of the show per season.September 6, 2017 at 11:08 pm #1202205880
Last weeks episode was amazing. Rae and Orji were phenomenal. The episode was absoltley hilrious yet devestting. I though it was one of the best episodes of the show so far. I really love this season. Also, the music was fabulous. If it gets a music supervision nomination, this episode should be its submission.

Without Game of Thrones as a lead-in, Insecure is below a million in broadcast viewership. This partially explains HBO’s conservatism with the show keeping its episode order at eight instead of a breathable ten.September 7, 2017 at 8:11 am #1202206205

I too am happy they’re getting their arcs in order for the finale with 45 minutes to play with.
