Over the past few months we had a weird problem in these forums. You’d post a comment and it wouldn’t show up for a long time, then, bingo, it was suddenly there. In the meantime you might post it again and, oops, you’d end up with two posts later and  you’d kill one. I thought we had that problem fixed, but I noticed that it came back big time in the past few days. Our tech team THINKS they’ve fixed it. Please give things a spin and let me know, OK?

    Sorry for the recent inconvenience!

I’ve noticed that it tends to happen when a thread is going to a new page and your post is the first on that new page.

I have had that problem, but once I look in “View New Posts”, I can find it. I had it the last couple of days, but not today, so it’s working so far!

If I spend more than 5-10 minutes writing a post – a common thing because I’m usually long-winded in my posts – it tends to not show up. So what I do is type out the text, copy it, then refresh the page, and paste what I had typed. Works like a charm every time.

A good fix for the time-out bug is reloading the blank page that you are sent to.  It asks if you want to resend the information and you do.

I’m never routed to a blank page that can be refreshed. It takes me back to log-in page, and afterwards to the full posting page, where of course the post is erased.
