Sutton Foster was incredible in the tv series Bunheads; however, before it could reach its full potential it was cancelled. Sutton Foster earned raves from that program and even earned herself a Critics Choice Award nod. The Emmys mistakingly looked over that performance and did not give her the recognition she deserved. So, what does she do? She goes and joins with the creator of Sex & the City and steals the show. She has earned raves in nearly all of the reviews on the show. It is known that she elevated the show far beyond other TV Land programs. Yet, TV Land may be the problem to her getting the recognition she deserves.Betty White earned recogniton from the Academy probably only because of name recognition. Sure, White deserved the nod, but what about the other cast members doing equally as good as she was on the show. Sutton Foster gives a hilarious, charming, and mainstream performance. If on any other network the Globes would recognize it, but is it possible the Emmys can still recognize her award worthy performance?April 7, 2015 at 9:38 am #345455
I don’t see an Emmy nomination in the cards for Sutton Foster. I agree that she’s giving a good performance in Younger, but much bigger names in the television industry on TVLand series have been overlooked. It’s shameful that Wendie Malick never received a Emmy nod for playing Victoria Chase on Hot in Cleveland, especially considering she had numerous episodes to submit that would have won! If they overlook Malick and Jane Leeves, two previous Emmy nominees, I don’t think they’ll easily embrace Foster. This year is pretty competitive for Lead Actress in a Comedy, too.

The critics love them some Sutton Foster so much that Bunheads even won a TCA Award.April 7, 2015 at 9:58 am #345457

ABC Family is dominating the Youth Programming TCA Award. Switched at Birth, Bunheads, and The Fosters have won the last 3 years. Is Chasing Life next?
Bunheads was a good show. It’s worthy of an Amazon, Crackle, Hulu, Netflix, or Yahoo! revival.April 7, 2015 at 10:30 am #345458
I just watched the Pilot last night and loved it. I don’t think it will get in thoughApril 7, 2015 at 10:43 am #345459
Time to look up Chasing Life.
Of course the lead is a budding young journalist with cancer.April 7, 2015 at 10:59 am #345460
Aw, I loved Bunheads. Not as much as Gilmore Girls but well…
I watched episode 1 and 2 and well, it’s a likable show and Sutton is just as likable as she ever was. I would definitely marry her, even though I go the other way. But well, the category is loaded (as opposed to lead actor in a comedy that is just as empty as it was last year).
