Watch this BBC2 series, and check out my review, Gillian Anderson is awesome, and so is Jaime Dornan who played the Sheriff in Once Upon a Time

Gillian Anderson once again packing a badge and gun?  I’m there.

    So there.

Okay, I’m not even 30 minutes into this and she’s stunning – stunning, I tell you.  Truly breathtaking.

I only watched the Pilot, and the series is dark and has a great premise, but so slow in my opinion. I don’t know if it gets better, I’ll definely finish the season because Gillian is great, Archie Panjabi is great and so is Jaime Dornan, but it felt like forever to finish Ep. 1.

I have to agree that the pace is a bit slow, at least in the beginning, but the show does get better with time. Jamie Dornan is actually quite remarkable, although the main attraction is obviously Anderson. All she’s gotta do is breathe, and the frame stops.
The Fall has its faults, but it also has some great moments and interesting character depictions. I can’t wait for the season finale.

The show is great. Haven’t seen Episode 4 yet, but overall, very very compelling.

Late to the party. Just watched the pilot episode. Didn’t mind the pacing at all–I can do slow. This was fantastic.

This show is great. There is a lot to enjoy here. From chilling murder to how they convey Anderson’s choice of sexual partners.

The Fall has already aired here in the UK, but understand that Series 2 is about to/currently going out on Netflix.

I don’t want to give anything away for it for fans out there, except to say it is outstanding. Both Dornan & Anderson truly step it up another gear, and deliver powerful masterclasses in the art of acting. It is gripping stuff.

I just watched both seasons this weekend and I really, truly loved it. Everything about it is great, especially Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan. That interrogation scene… WOW!

Do the show and its lead stars have any chance at all at being nominated? What category would that be? Miniseries or Movie?

Also, Stella Gibson is such an important feminist icon. TV’s been in need of a character like her for a long time, I could quote her forever.

Anyway, I’m in awe and I’m in love with this show.

The Fall has been recommissioned for a third series, consisting of five episodes.

BUT…is it for the last time?

Naturally, the article below does contain spoilers, so I would advise anyone who has not watched all of Series 2 to avoid the article if you intend to watch it.

    Best news of the day!!!!

Storywise, I don’t see how they could go for a 4th season without changing the show completely.

I wonder when they’ll start shooting and when it will be released.

SERIES TWO SPOILER MASSIVE GIVEAWAY AVOID READING IF POSSIBLE FOR THOSE NOT UP TO DATE:

A couple of people on Twitter are wondering if it will go in style of Broadchurch Series 2, and take place over the trial? (highlight to read)

It is apparently being targetted for a 2016 air date, and my guess is it will begin filming towards the end of the year? The creator has previously said that he knows exactly how the series will finish. It will be very interesting to see what kind of direction they take this third and final series, after the events of the last series.

Especially given the fact that the best episode, for me, of the entire show’s run was the feature length series 2 finale, massively because of Dornan and Anderson being utterly compelling in their scenes together. (Spoiler: highlight to read)

ewww No…this show should have ended with maybe an extra episode in season 1…the contrived plot points to extend the show in S2 were just awful. No thanks.

Yes!!!! Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan are great together, even when they are not together (like talking on the phone). I honestly thought that was the best interrogation scene I have ever seen. Even better than the Carrie/ Brody one in Homeland. (highlight to read. I don’t know if it’s spoiler or not).

It’s too bad this show is not on the radar for awards, because I think the Season 2 finale would be a great submission for both of them.
