A new AMC dark comedy with Dunst (!!!!!!) starring and executive producing, along with Yorgos Lanthimos (The Lobster, anyone!??! This guy is genius) is being produced along with George Clooney. It’s called On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Jeez, dream team anyone?? This sounds like goldJanuary 9, 2017 at 10:46 pm #1201984216
Goodness, that sounds amazing. I loved The Lobster–thought it was sublime!
Dunst is just going up and up!! With The Beguiled and Woodshock next year and then her directorial debut and this, she’s going to be a regular at the awards circuit. Can’t wait!January 10, 2017 at 1:43 am #1201984393
I actually can’t wait for this. I mean I hated her fans during the Paulson vs. Dunst period but now that it is over, can you imagine if she becomes the person to overthrow JLD?January 10, 2017 at 11:19 am #1201984807

I think there was an element during the Paulson vs. Dunst period where, while both performances were critically-acclaimed, they were very different kinds of performances. Paulson was considered overdue and gave the best performance she’s ever given; Dunst, in the movie world, is considered constantly snubbed and under-rated and gave a beautiful, subtle performance. So it was very much oranges and apples, in my opinion. I think it was sort of a legitimate argument to have. I preferred Dunst, but was perfectly happy with Paulson winning too.January 10, 2017 at 11:20 am #1201984808
Not to mention, Dunst was coming off the heels off an INSANE loss for a game-changing, critics-best performance to freaking Lady Gaga at the Golden Globes. Some backlash was inevitable.January 12, 2017 at 2:53 pm #1201986602
This sounds so exciting!!! And yeah, jeez, Dunst is on a roll. So many roles and projects lined up that sound so amazing. Hopefully, she’ll be all over the Oscars, GGs and Emmys and not consistently ignored like she has been for years. I mean how can you NOT take think 2017 is shaping up to be her year after losing out for Melancholia, Bachelorette, Midnight Special, Fargo??
