Did Cranston really have the best tape?

This was a really good lineup. Chandler, Cranston, Fox, and Hall all were on my personal ballot. And once again, I would’ve gone with Chandler, who had a stellar season and submission in “East of Dillon”, which probably even more Emmy-friendly than his winning “Always”. Fox had his best year ever on “Lost”, and “The End” was a great episode for him. Those last few minutes…Jesus. And Hall had his greatest submission in “The Getaway”. And even though I wouldn’t have gone with Cranston that year (the only year to date when he hasn’t been my #1 pick), I won’t argue much because he’s great and “Full Measure” was a solid submission, though I would’ve gone with “Fly” instead.

The best lineup I have ever seen out of that category. I pegged Hugh Laurie as the winner that year. Cranston’s win was a disappointment given the competition and that he didn’t submit “Fly”.

Not a bad line-up but I would have dropped Fox and Laurie and added Timothy Olyphant and Linus Roache.

Such a perfect lineup and while I respect Cranston I wish he had not won this year because Hall should have won but also Hamm had a great season and it’s sad neither of those guys will win for those roles.

I’ll never get over the fact that Cranston won a third emmy against so many great actors, it was really a perfect line-up.

    Based on tape:

    1. Jon Hamm, Mad Men
    2. Hugh Laurie, House
    3. Michael C. Hall, Dexter
    4. Kyle Chandler, Friday Night Lights
    5. Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
    6. Matthew Fox, Lost

Michael C. Hall was my pick back in 2010.
