Love this!! That is a presentation and speech to look forward to. I love that they give this award to funny women from television! I wonder if she will now get nominated for Grace and Frankie too and win?

Nice! Jane Fonda has to be part of the presentation, and hopefully Dolly Parton takes part too? Steve Martin and Charles Grodin might be too much to hope for.

In terms of Tomlin getting nominated for Female Actor in a Comedy Series, anything can happen in that category this year, but this recognition certainly helps. Falco and Poehler are out, guaranteeing two open spots, OITNB might (and really should) go drama this time around, the variety sketch series performers are ineligible, and Modern Family is unlikely to make a comeback here. I suspect the Transparent women (pending this next season premiering in time), Janney, and most likely Chlumsky could all break through here, but Tomlin is in a very strong position. She wasn’t nominated here or for Grandma, despite some surprise nominations in both categories, last year, so nothing is really guaranteed, but I think she’s more likely to get nominated in than not right now.

A marvelous selection! And yes, like SAG Lifetime winner James Garner nabbing a nom that year for The Notebook, Tomlin is very likely to grab a nomination for Grace & Frankie this time.

SAG selections seem very mindful and appreciative of living legends Hollywood either ignores or takes for granted.

Good choice, she was robbed for “Grandma”.

Tomlin was robbed for an 1975 Oscar for Nashville and an 1993 Emmy for The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.

Grandma was just a mediocre movie featuring an amazing talent.

Grandma was a good movie, with an amazing central performance by Lily Tomlin. You don’t get to nominated for your film, you get to nominated for your performance. She deserved a nomination much more than Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson or Jennifer Lawrence.

Lily Tomlin has delivered exemplary work.

Before you influence people to consider Grandma as Tomlin at the top of her game, you may want to see watch some of Tomlin at her best.

Try these films: Nashville, Nine to Five, All of Me, The Late Show

Try these television programs: The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, Lily: Sold Out, Damages, Lily

    Enjoy!

I’m sorry, but what is your point? I’m talking about last year, and I’m talking about a film called “Grandma” and a race called “2015 Awards Season”. She was amazing in “Grandma” and should have been nominated. She is overall very deserving of this acknowledgement based on her wonder career (you mentioned the right titles), but I was talking about a completely different thing. Bye, Felicia.

Tomlin is incredible in all of the aforementioned work, with The Late Show perhaps her finest hour.
