From the channel Disney XD, which gave us Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder and Star vs. The Forces of Evil and the creators of Phineas and Ferb gives us the new animated series, Milo Murphy’s Law.

The title character, Milo Murphy is a descendant from the guy who created Murphy’s Law, stating whatever can go wrong will go wrong.

I wasn’t going to make a thread for this, but I thought should because “Weird Al” Yankovic is voicing the main character, and that’s reason enough for me to watch it!

Other actors in the show include Sabrina Carpenter, Christian Slater, Vanessa Williams, Sarah Chalke, Jemaine Clement, Ming-Na Wen, and others.

The show premieres October 3rd on Disney XD.

If Phineas and Ferb could get in for Main Title Theme Music, could this one get in? Could Weird Al be an Emmy nominee? Or possibly Voice-Over Performance?

    *THUD*

(Tyler just fainted over the prospect of Weird Al being a potential Emmy nominee)

I seriously think this could be a contender for not only Animated Program, but arguably Voice-Over Performance (lots of big names in this show) as well as Main Title Theme Music and Design (for its catchy as hell theme sung by Weird Al himself) and Original Music & Lyrics since it’s been confirmed that there will be original songs for the series. Not sure if they will be written by Dan Povenmire, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh or Weird Al or maybe all three. Anyways, I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you are a fan of any of Disney XD’s more recent animated hits.

Gravity Falls never made the cut, Star vs. The Forces of Evil has yet to be nominated, and Wander over Yonder did get nominated but never won. It’s sad how often, with all the wondrous variety on TV, the Emmys will so often recognize more of the same. I’m still mad the Phineas and Ferb finale got nominated over the infinitely superior Gravity Falls finale.

I PRAY Steven Universe “The Answer” wins Animated Program, that’s the ONLY category I’m genuinely emotionally invested in. I will cry tears of unbelievable sadness if it loses to ANYTHING and tears of unbelievable joy if it wins. Either way, “Short-form Animated Program” is the only category I’m that emotional about. Every other category can go any way at all, as long Rebecca Sugar & co. take home the Emmy gold for my #1 favorite episode “The Answer” of my #1 favorite TV show of all time.

Here’s a special promo for the show. (NOTE: I am not using the clips Disney XD publishes since those videos can’t be viewed everywhere. Thank me later)

You can catch the first episode of Milo Murphy’s Law for free on iTunes right now! You can, but I can’t because I live in Canada. 🙁

Just saw the first episode and the second half of the second episode that was leaked earlier. This is probably my favourite Disney XD series since Gravity Falls. Without a doubt, better than Phineas and Ferb and I hope that this becomes a big hit and is a staple for the channel. I will post a video review soon.
