Can’t wait. I love Modern Family and I’m excited for Season 7.September 23, 2015 at 2:55 pm #362541
I’ve often found the premieres of each season of Modern Family to be quite underwhelming. I hope that isn’t the case for this season too.

Some funny scenes here and there, but so much of that early spark just isn’t there anymore. I did like Phil and Claire’s meddling with Haley and Andy. Adam Devine was very game to use that fat suit, even though I was more excited about DYLAN coming back lol. Mitchell’s painting phase was a nice showcase for Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Jay and Gloria’s scenes with the new Joe were okay. Nothing much more to this episode than that premiere wise.

The best thing about this episode was Mitchell’s bang. Other than that, such a meh episode.September 24, 2015 at 6:17 am #362544
Watched this this morning and and I have to admit that it wasnt a strong opening. Liked Phil and Claire meddling and the Gloria and Jay thing but other than that it was just ok. My grade: B. Also will have to ask (and please say I am wrong) but did they recast Joe?September 24, 2015 at 6:27 am #362545
I liked the time jump format, that was a clever way to get through the summer. Other than that, I felt like there was just too much going on here. I felt like they wanted every character in the premiere, but everything just felt like it was cut short. Not having any resolution on any storyline was a bit frustrating, but it will be interesting to see where they go with it next week.

Yikes, what a horrible season premiere!
Modern Family has become SO incredibly mediocre over the past 2-3 years. Atypical is right, the spark is gone. The show is only a slow-burning candle that is about to go out, sadly. The show needs new life asap.
I DID like Mitchell (for a change) in this episode. His hair was everything.September 25, 2015 at 5:57 am #362548
I really enjoyed Mitchell’s paintings. That was the best part for me, along with his hair. Interested to see where Mitch/Cam go this season. The Jay/Gloria/Joe stuff was okay. I liked the Alex/Sanjay scenes, too.September 25, 2015 at 5:07 pm #362549
I have enjoyed this season premiere! Haley and Andy’s love story is great, and more with Phil and Claire in the middle. Moreover, Mitchell van Gogh has had good moments, especially when Jay has talked to Mitch. Jay has showed him that suffered a similar story and I think that Mitch would overcome this crisis and would find a job more quickly thanks to that support. Sincerely, Jesse Tyler Ferguson has started amazing this season. The most boring story, in my opinion, has been the search of Joe’s kindergarten. The Alex and Sanjay’s story is fine, but I believe that it will have its best moments along the season.

This was underwhelming, but still the best comedy currently airing in its later seasons.September 26, 2015 at 5:56 pm #362551
Very funny episode. Made me LOL. Bowen’s facial expressions are still everything.September 29, 2015 at 1:48 pm #362552
