Which of this years new series will get the most nominations at this years Emmys.April 12, 2015 at 7:19 am #346572
Transparent for Comedy, BCS for Drama.April 12, 2015 at 7:31 am #346573
UKS…I see it having an OITNB-type haul. Especially with Guest starts boosting it.April 12, 2015 at 11:36 am #346574
Better Call Saul seems the most likely to earn the most nominations out of all these shows. Directing, Actor, Supporting Actor, Editing, Cinematography, and possible series.
UKS will probably follow up or could succeed even more because it is a comedy.April 12, 2015 at 11:46 am #346575
Better Call Saul (10 or so nominations), unless Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt racks up a ton of guest nods, or Transparent is fully embraced by the academy.April 12, 2015 at 12:01 pm #346576
Empire (about 10 nominations), but that could change if Grace and Frankie really hits.April 12, 2015 at 2:42 pm #346577
There’s obviously a chance I could look mighty foolish when nominations are announced, but I’m confidently going with BCS. I see it getting 10-12 nominations.April 12, 2015 at 3:44 pm #346578

No American Crime? Or do we count that as a miniseries?April 12, 2015 at 6:48 pm #346580
I believe it will be Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I think they’ll have nods in Series, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress x2, Guest Actor x 3, Guest Actress and several creative arts nominations. 8+ nods
Then Grace and Frankie, Series, Actress x2, Supporting Actor x2, Guest Actor. 6 nods for them.
I don’t understand the huge expectations for Transparent though. Their cast is good but the only real shots they have are Actor, Series and Guest Actor.
But in any case the most nominated new show will most probably be a comedy.April 13, 2015 at 5:54 am #346581

I like that show now but I think it was too slow out of the gate. Took too much time developing while everyone fought over where to bury Matt. But now tha the’s buried, yeah, I’d giv eit an Emmy. Some good acting in it for sure.April 13, 2015 at 8:33 am #346582
My guesses (from this list) in order:
2) Better Call Saul
3) Grace & Frankie

“Empire”, “Better Call Saul”, and “Transparent”. The rest are question marks.April 13, 2015 at 2:06 pm #346586
Transparent should have a few nominations (Lead Actor, Series, possibly Directing/Writing, and Music of course) although it’s just as much of a drama series as Orange Is the New Black is. I really enjoyed Transparent, but I thought it was less funny than OITNB.
I do believe that one new drama series will get a lot of buzz at the Emmy’s. I’m just not sure which drama series that will get the most buzz. I need to watch Bloodline, Empire, and BCS in order for me to guess more accurately.
But, the most successful comedy will be Transparent in my opinion. (although I’d LOVE for UKS to pull a ton of noms)
