most of them praising Moura’s performance, could he get that emmy nod next year?
I wish, but the industry only like foreigners if they are British, with very few exceptions. Take Mr. Robot for instance. Why was Slater the one supporting actor getting awards talk? His performance was only okay (which is why he didn’t get a nod IMO). The one that the Globes should’ve embraced, and then the Emmys, was Martin Wallström. But his character speaking a non-English language practically invalidates him as a contender, which is a shame.
I love it…This second season is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the first one and that was actually very good. Moura (while not mastering the Paisa accent) is magnificent as are most of the regular cast. Can’t wait for the third season but i’ll miss Wagner Moura a lot.
Finished that last night and it was pretty good, Moura is fantastic mainly in the final episodes, the scenes with his father were terrific. More Thoughts later after a second watch.
I was a big fan of season one, but I loved this one even more. I didn’t think that would be possible. This was my favorite show of the entire summer. Major props, too, to the music editor. It’s not often (okay, almost never) that I am tempted to buy the soundtrack for a TV show, but if one existed for Narcos, I’d buy it in a flash. What’s irritating about Netflix, is you cannot watch the end credits. So unfortunate.
Anyway, I just loved every minute of it. Hope it gets some Emmy love. And very happy it will return for two more (?) seasons. YES!
