    Strongest (in order of strength):

    1. Claire Danes for Lead Drama Actress

    2. Laura Dern for Lead Comedy Actress

    3. Cloris Leachman making the jump to supporting for Raising Hope

    4. Dustin Hoffman for Lead Drama Actor

    5. Zooey Deschanel for Lead Conedy Actress

    6. Homeland to replace Dexter in Drama Series

    7. Anybody from Up All Night has the name to get in

    8. Suburgatory could slip in anywhere really

    9. Happy Endings’ first full season could be strong

    10. NBC will no doubt promote the hell out of Prime Suspect and Smash, so watch out for those two.

Great thread. I’ll split up stars and shows, since I can’t imagine making the two compete against one another. Below are my list, ranked alphabetically.

    Stars

Maria Bello, “Prime Suspect,” Best Drama Actress

Claire Danes, “Homeland,” Best Drama Actress

Kat Dennings, “2 Broke Girls,” Best Comedy Actress

Zooey Deschanel, “New Girl,” Best Comedy Actress

Dustin Hoffman, “Luck,” Best Drama Actor

Jason Isaacs, “Awake,” Best Drama Actor

Jessica Lange, “American Horror Story,” Best Drama Supporting Actress

Katherine McPhee, “Smash,” Best Drama Actress

Mandy Patinkin, “Homeland,” Best Drama Supporting Actor

(Just missed the cut: Connie Britton “A.H.S.,” and Bill Nighy, “Page Eight”)

    Shows

    “Awake,” Best Drama Series

    “Game Change, “Best TV Movie/Mini-Series

“George Harrison: Living in the Material World,” Best TV Documentary

“Hell on Wheels,” Best Drama Series

    “Homeland, Best Drama Series

    “Luck,” Best Drama Series

Can we please get Veep cleared up? It’s eligibility can affect many of the comedy categories.

According to the Washington Post, Veep started filming this week, so maybe we can expect a premiere within this eligibility period?

I think Veep can potentially be a huge contender:

    • Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Lead Actress) and Armando Iannucci (Writing) are practically locks.

    • Tony Hale (Supporting Actor), Anna Chlumsky (Supporting Actress) and Comedy Series could have potential.
