In 2000, Brad Garrett received his first Emmy nom for “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He was snubbed the following year. In 2002, he won his first Emmy for the role and was nominated for the rest of series’ run through 2005 (and, of course, won again in 2003 and 2005).
In 1995, Lisa Kudrow received her first nom for “Friends” was snubbed in 1996, nominated again in 1997 and finally won in 1998. She continued to receive nominations from 1999-2001.
Calista Flockhart fits this bill, too. She was nominated in 1997 and 1998, was snubbed in 1999 and 2000 and was nodded again in 2001 for “Ally McBeal.”
Which other actors have been nominated (or won), were snubbed the following year and then re-emerged with later nominations or wins for the same role?
I have a feeling Kyra Sedgwick will be this. Next year will be The Closer‘s last Emmy-eligible year. They may wanna say goodbye.
