“Game of Thrones” fans, you can now predict who’s going to die next (and so much more) in Gold Derby’s predictions center. Have fun with it!
There are a whopping 30 characters to choose from, separted into three categories: Main, Recurring, Minor. Let us know if anything looks wonky or if anyone definitely needs to switch categories.
Keep in mind that the first episode you’ll be predicting is #5.06 “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken” which airs NEXT Sunday, May 17. The users with the best prediction accuracy and highest score every episode will win our weekly prizes of $100 Amazon gift certificates.
Here are the eight questions we’ve come up with. Again, your thoughts are much appreciated:
Which MAIN character will die in this episode?
Which RECURRING character will die in this episode?
Which MINOR character will die in this episode?
How many dragons will appear in this episode?
Will Tyrion have a drink in this episode?
Will Cersei and Jaime kiss in this episode?
Will we see a white walker in this episode?
Will there be full frontal nudity in this episode?May 10, 2015 at 5:25 pm #348098
Ok I played. Clearly this works since, timing of eppies plus they’re not following the books anymore to a T or at all makes it fun.May 10, 2015 at 6:16 pm #348099
Oh I will try my best but I won’t do good on this one.May 10, 2015 at 7:12 pm #348100
I’m hoping this won’t incite spoilers from the book readers… Otherwise, it’s a great idea, and I understand why it’s starting so late in the season, though I’m among he few who actually watched week to week.May 10, 2015 at 10:41 pm #348101
Damn it. I should’ve known this would be one episode where Tyrion didn’t drink wine.May 11, 2015 at 12:12 am #348102
HBO has confirmed to us that no more episodes of “GoT” will be made available early, not even to press. That’s great going forward as no one should be able to spoil the predictions center. Spoilers shall be met with a fate worse than death: being banned from Gold Derby!May 11, 2015 at 2:37 am #348103
Ramsay is definitely not a minor character.May 11, 2015 at 9:59 am #348104
I don’t think this will work as well as TWD and AHS. Even though some stuff is changing, book readers still have a clear advantage and know what will happen.May 11, 2015 at 10:28 am #348105
How about getting to predict the Critics Choice (TV awards), an actual award showMay 11, 2015 at 12:58 pm #348106

Trust me, that’s barely true anymore, and I expect there to be no book material left by the end of this season.May 14, 2015 at 9:47 am #348108
Maybe you could also have categories around what people say? For example, will somebody say ‘Winter is Coming’ or ‘Valar Morghulis’, or even the title of the episode? It happens often enough, all three would have been true of this week’s episode.
