SEAN AND BEVERLY ARE BACK TOGETHER
I accidentally found the first two Episodes leak on line and they very good. I really like how Sean and Beverly back together is not smooth.
Leblanc has some great moments (The screen where John’s Pankow is begging for his wife to take him back is perhaps the funniest screen the show every done) in the premire.January 12, 2014 at 9:58 am #308911
I’ve only seen the first episode of the season and it’s just hillarious. I loved it.January 25, 2014 at 2:41 pm #308912

Finally caught up with the first three episodes of the season, and I’m enjoying it just as much as I always have!
My favorite thing about this series is the direct continuity season-to-season. It’s great seeing the immediate impact of the season finale in the third season premiere, and it’s great seeing Bev and Sean’s relationship mending slowly step-by-step in each episode.
I’m excited to see the antics that the new network head brings to the series (and they’re attempting to make him a very interesting figure) as well as the future of Pucks and the Matt’s custody case. Very promising start to the season!

Love Chris Diamantopoulos on this, didn’t know this actor was that good. Still, the first episode was the best so far, imo, it is always better when it focus on Matt/Beverly/Sean Alone.January 25, 2014 at 6:58 pm #308915

Has anybody kept up with this season?
Spoilers ahead: I thought some of the middle episodes meandered a bit, but once they committed to the idea of killing Pucks, they’ve found a creative resurgence! I’ve particuarly enjoying seeing Matt pursue the drama pilot, and Sean and Beverly’s script getting out to all the networks. The season finale looks terrific! My guess is Matt is turned down for the drama, and he joins Sean and Bev’s series.
As far as Emmy Awards, I think we’ll see Matt LeBlanc return (although once again he has no real stand out episodes to submit…) and I suspect they’ll get another “surprise” Writing nomination (the finale does look like a strong episode from the preview, and it’s been the season finale that has been nominated both years). I would love nothing more than to see Kathleen Rose Perkins nominated in Supporting Actress: she gives the best performance on the series in a really difficult role. Terrific balance of satire, over-the-top egotism, delicacy and vulnerability. She’d be a frontrunner for the Emmy this season in my book.
I’m looking forward to the season finale!

Word. And LeBlanc is very much a threat this year. He has 2-3 killer tapes. He’s been absolutely fantastic all season. I think a writing nom is due again as well. This is not a great show but it sure has a lot of great pieces.February 25, 2014 at 1:54 am #308918
This is not a great show but it sure has a lot of great pieces.
That’s probably the best way to describe this series. Nearly every episode is half great and half clunky. I’ve only seen the first few from the season, but I already wouldn’t mind a LeBlanc win. The category is lacking. He’s deserved all his nods and his material is typically the show’s most inspired bits.February 25, 2014 at 5:49 am #308919
What episodes do you have in mind for LeBlanc, probablyROB? I think he’s been great this season but I can’t think of any stellar submissions off-hand. I, too, would love to see him win for this series, especially since the category has been so weak and the repeat winners are becoming nauseating…

I’d have to rewatch the season to remmeber for sure but the DUI episode is strong as was the episode before this last one…. that unfived high five followed by “why can’t you just be happy for me!?” would be enough for me to give him the Emmy.February 25, 2014 at 11:22 am #308921
“Episode One” has the DUI.February 25, 2014 at 6:04 pm #308922
He was fantastic on the last episode, the whole “how you doing” thing was freaking hillarious and Diamantopoulos should win guest actor.March 3, 2014 at 11:07 am #308923
oh my god, Diamantopoulos delivers once again, that promo for the season finale looks outstanding, that is a winner right there. This show is having a fantastic season definetely on the level of B99 as best comedies of the season.
