Gordon Smith episodes come here to play, bitches! Love itttt! I almost would have been okay with this being the season finale, but a penultimate episode like this begs for a lasting note to be played that closes things out. Can’t wait!

Sans the boring Banks opening scene (it’s gonna stink something awful when he’s nominated for this season over McKean), this was excellent. I imagine she wasn’t even submitted but the actress who portrays Irene would be richly deserving of a Drama Guest Actress nom. She was heartbreaking here.

Hmm…I may have enjoyed this even more than Chicanery.

Michael Mando continues to impress me.

Jimmy’s slow descent into Saul is agonizing to watch but I can’t look away.

Absolutely devastated for Kim at that ending. (Kim haters feel free to put me on ignore).

If only BCS didn’t insist on botching its submissions year after year…

I did not like this episode AT ALL. Besides Irene and the ending, this episode was FARTS. Michael Mando needs a bigger role. Its funny seeing him so good on here after he was so terrible on Orphan Black (dont hate me).

    My grade: B-

How can an episode be awful but get a B- grade?

I should have specified “compared to the rest of the show”. I origionally gave it a C, but once I analiyzed it a bit more I decided that B- was a more approrpiate grade.

Maybe if you analyze it again you’ll get to that A it deserves

why would you give it an A. What makes this episode on the same level as Chicanery and other A episodes and better than most episodes of the season?

I think what makes this such a great and maybe essential is a better word than great is that it’s the first time we see Jimmy do something that is just unquestionably despicable. Yes he’s done questionable things before but here is where Saul Goodman really comes out, it’s fascinating to watch. I loved everything with Kim this week too, this episode really makes you feel for her, Seehorn is such a great actress. If voters are watching this show, she’ll be in, if the show has been getting nominated because of BB love, we’ll know when she’s snubbed. Same goes for McKean who had some great scenes with Patrick Fabian, the confrontation between them was great and long anticipated. The scenes with Hector, Nacho and Gus were very good as well. There wasn’t a dull moment in the episode and all the storylines also set us up for a probable great finale or season 4 storylines with Jimmy slipping further into Saul, Kim struggling with her work load, Gus vs Hector and Howard vs Chuck. Also enjoyed that scene with Mike and Lydia. I like getting more of that backstory because it actually makes BB better having seen things like that.

    Episode Title: “Lantern”

Synopsis: Kim takes time off; Jimmy tries to make amends; Nacho gambles with his future; Hamlin pushes Chuck to make a decision.

    Discuss.

I saw some rumors on line that this is secretly the series finale and that the show is over for good.

What? Has AMC not renewed the series yet? They can’t really afford to lose their last critical darling and Emmys prospect.

No way. There’s no way it can end here. The only thing that worries me is if the Gene character really dies from his “accident” in the first episode flashback, but still, The episode is too short for them to wrap up the whole show as it only 17 minutes longer than usual. We’re not there yet. I think we still need about 2 or 3 more seasons until it’s over. I think they’re waiting to announce a fourth and fifth seasons to end it.

They aren’t ending it here, I don’t believe that for a second.
