Episode Title: “Biology 101”
Synopsis: In the third-season premiere, the GCC gang reunite to find out if Pierce is coming back to Greendale.
Guest Stars: John Goodman, Michael K. WilliamsSeptember 22, 2011 at 8:18 pm #226689
I really liked this premiere. The opening dance # was well done and I like the reveal that it was in Jeff’s head the whole time. Speaking of inside Jeff’s head, I liekd the 2001: A Space Odyssey homage. Joel McHale was great in this episode.
They also carried over the Pierce leaving the study group storyline well. Everything Jeff did to Pierce was completly in charcter and I liked how the show, for once, made Pierce the good guy in the end.
Danny Pudi and (especially) Jim Rash were great tonight as well. John Goodman and Michael K. Williams seem like good editions.
The only problem I had with this episode is that Chang is really becoming an annoying character.

I’m so glad to have this show back.
That is all.September 23, 2011 at 4:43 am #226691
The premiere left A LOT to be desired, though the opening number was top notch.September 25, 2011 at 5:03 pm #226692
I liked the premeire. I thought it was a very strong start to the season. Having Goodman and Williams in there will shake things up a bit.

Episode Title: “Geography of Global Conflict”
Synopsis: A Model UN competition introduces Annie to a new frenemy, while Britta goes head to head with Campus Security Officer Chang.September 29, 2011 at 7:57 pm #226694
Pulling off a cliche only Community could. Well done.September 30, 2011 at 7:15 am #226695
A fine episode.
Pierce is clearly going back to what he was season 1, which is good. This episode had a lot of good lines (Troy getting excited at the perspective of meeting Bouthros-Bouthros-Gali, Annie and her straw, Britta’s raging against the machine speech, Jeff’s inappropriate schoolgirl comment, “The science works out” and so forth), although Annie was mostly annoying here.
In an interesting way, I think Pierce was the MVP here : the Asian/women jokes were fine, and the whole thing about Somalia being a tropical paradise was pretty funny too.September 30, 2011 at 8:46 am #226696
The episode was fine, but I am seriously over Britta and her hippie shit.September 30, 2011 at 10:56 am #226697
I thought this episode was really good! I too am sick of Britta preaching. She’s turning into the Kurt Hummel of this show.
I happened to really like Annie here. Pierce’s racism is getting annoying, but his Somalia jokes had me on the floor. This is a good episode for Brie.
One of the most notable parts was the directing. They should put this episode on the directing ballot.
MVP: Alison BrieSeptember 30, 2011 at 3:07 pm #226698
Damn, Pierce is the highlight of the episode. His Somalia jokes made me ROFL. Good episode.September 30, 2011 at 4:05 pm #226699
I know this won’t sound like me but I’m not loving this season. It definitely is having it’s moments but nothing is blowing me away right now. Not even Parks and Rec. My favorite two comedies of the past two seasons are only OK right now. Maybe I have come to expect so much more… Oh well. I am sure it will pick up.September 30, 2011 at 5:20 pm #226700
Not a very good episode either…what the hell is going on with this and Parks and Rec?
Also, I see they have no intention of fixing Britta.October 1, 2011 at 10:30 am #226701
I thought it was a decent episode. Pierce did have some good lines, and I liked Troy trying to do a southern accent. I do agree with others about Britta. Alison Brie did a good job in this episode.
