Out of the ridiculous number of Guest stars Will and Grace submitted, I’m only predicting Leslie Jordan to get a nomination because of what a truly hilarious standout he was. I just think the W&G fans in the actors branch will rally around him as a solid consensus pick, plus he is a former winner for this show as well. Does that sound like a reasonable prediction?May 23, 2018 at 3:41 pm #1202552708
So i guess Maya Rudolph will be the sole nominee for The Good Place with at least two slots opening up.
Not a prayer in the world will that be their only nomination. In the name of everything right and just, just, NO.
In the name of everything realistic and unjust, possibly YES. I still have it getting into Writing, though I would feel more confident if they only submitted one episode.May 24, 2018 at 11:25 am #1202553252
The reps for Tiffany Haddish are entering her for SNL on their own. I will get her added back to the predictions center later today.May 24, 2018 at 11:43 am #1202553263
Who are people that self submitted and got nominated in the past? Has there ever been self submitted winner in the acting categories?May 24, 2018 at 12:41 pm #1202553306
Wait, there was nothing more to the story to which we were unaware? NBC just did not feel like submitting her? Insanity!
I remember that CBS stopped submitting Dylan Baker because they presumably wanted voters to move on to newer guest stars with bigger roles in later seasons of The Good Wife, but the voters preferred to go back to the same well.May 24, 2018 at 1:05 pm #1202553313
Nice to see Tiffany Haddish being proactive when “SNL” so royally failed her. Hope she gets in now (she’s quite thirsty for multiple nods, but nods = career boosts, so get it done, Tiff!).May 26, 2018 at 11:40 am #1202554260
This is why I am down on American Vandal‘s chances and why I am becoming concerned about Grace and Frankie. Instead of giving them the individually-sealed treatment like GLOW or Ozark, Netflix just put them in one of their big best-of-the-rest collections and did not put the money into including their complete seasons, so they are probably spending less elsewhere too. Not always the case, but there was a strong correlation last year between stuff that Netflix did not individually highlight and under-performance in nominations (Black Mirror, Bloodline, Gilmore Girls, Santa Clarita Diet, A Series of Unfortunate Events, 13 Reasons Why).

I guess I shouldn’t keep Lisa Kudrow for Grace and Frankie? That category is wide open.
By the way, I changed my screen name, not to be confused.

I’m keeping American Vandal in but it’s annoying they aren’t campaigning it harder, it really should be an easy nomination for them.May 26, 2018 at 12:05 pm #1202554266
I want Regina King and Russell Hornsby from Seven Seconds to happen.May 26, 2018 at 7:31 pm #1202554324
As we wait for the particulars on The Good Place’s FYC’s episode-wise, this will do quite nicely. Thanks to the writer of this, who is placing himself at risk of ridicule by going all-in on the show the way they have here:May 27, 2018 at 12:22 pm #1202554563
Didn’t know where post this, but I found interest:
