    Episode 1.1:  Pilot

What if you could live forever? Would
you find it a blessing or a curse? Meet Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan
Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner who has an unusual
secret. He doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases – he
is trying to solve a mystery that has eluded him for over 200 years:
his own inexplicable immortality. Morgan’s intriguing long life has
blessed him with amazing insight and observational skills. So, when
Henry and detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza) investigate a
fatal subway collision, Jo not only is impressed, but her curiosity
is piqued about who he is. Meanwhile, Henry soon discovers someone
else knows his secret. He may not be the only “immortal”
out there. But who is this person and what does he or she want?

I just watched it and it is actually decent. I didn’t read anything about it prior so it was one of those “oh god not this” feeling at first but I think as it went on I got into it. It’s worth a try

I may try it out, mainly due to Alana de la Garza. The last few years of Law & Order (the Linus Roche years) she really impressed me.

I’m glad that if they have to use a British actor, they don’t force him to do some bland American accent (completely flat is an awful accent, a’ight y’all?). So, we shall see, it could be of interest to me.

His accent actually distracted me. It seemed like a crutch to his performance and I know that’s usually a complaint when Brits do an American. Has this actor done anything before with an American accent for me to compare if it was a good idea to stay British?

years. A letter on antique stationary might provide Henry a clue about the caller, and enlists Abe’s help in

unveil the beginning of Henry’s great love affair with his soon-to-be
    wife, Abigail.

Yeah so I liked the pilot. The whole mystery man on the phone is intriguing. In a weird way, this show is literally if someone made Bones from “Bones” an immortal man and paired him with Beckett from “Castle”. Hirsch is always a pleasure to watch. My grade for the episode is B+

entering the family’s estate sale for important clues through his
antique connections. Also, Henry is tormented by the haunting

What looks like a drug overdose death of a reformed junkie-turned community activist results in Henry and Jo tracking a murderer. The complex investigation involves dirty dealings between a real estate developer and a community organizer with millions at stake. Henry flashes back to the same 1890s New York tenement where he worked as a doctor to help the poor, including an orphan boy who gives him a special handmade gift. Also, Abe cooks up Sunday dinner for Henry, Jo and himself. When Jo tries to find out how the two men know each other, Henry weaves an elaborate tale to cover the truth.

    before. However,
Henry’s anonymous caller tips him to search beyond the clues of these
classic killings and leads the police to profile a very
